I forgot to mention it but also maybe AJPW isn't actually getting bought out but possibly ending up a puppet fed like PROGRESS or Evolve which might actually be worse. Imagining Akiyama as a Gabe Sapolsky type figure taking orders from Simon.

Go watch Ultimate Party 2019 if you haven't seen it already, and if you're unfamiliar with DDT that's probably one of the best shows with DDT Coming to America to get invested MiSu vs Takagi in the Tokyo Dome Empty Arena match is an all-timer, too. Especially if you've seen/heard Bryan & Vinny reviewing it

The DDT empty arena Saitama Super Arena show is incredible stuff. It has a full on best anime betrayal in the middle with evil laughter and everything the host following Konosuke Takeshita around in his quest to save Sanshiro Takagi from being kidnapped by Danshoku Dino was in cahoots with Dino all along and helped to replace Takagi with a doppelganger (Yoshihiko). In amongst the main storyline, HARASHIMA and Aoki have a blindfold/bra match for the Extreme Championship that is top tier MOTYC.
