Apraxin posted:https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1248367605422964743 It's much easier to say things to reassure people than it is to follow through and do them. quote:The Pareto principle (also known as the 80/20 rule, the law of the vital few, or the principle of factor sparsity)[1][2] states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.[3] Management consultant Joseph M. Juran suggested the principle and named it after Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who noted the 80/20 connection while at the University of Lausanne in 1896, as published in his first work: Cours d'économie politique; in it, Pareto showed that approximately 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population. So I think you'll find that by putting in the 20% to say they were going to have tracking done, we got 80% of the benefit *is hauled off by an angry mob*

I work in automotive manufacturing industry and most of the major manufacturers (Ford, Toyota, GM, etc.) are shut down now thru May 5th. Which may be extended in the future. They're predicting it comes back at maybe 60% the capacity once production starts up again but that seems rather optimistic to me.

Yeah that's why I'm worried that while I haven't been laid off yet it's coming. All customers for transportation suppliers are shut down and not gonna be doing anything new and expensive anytime soon.
