I played the gently caress out of the first Crysis and enjoyed the second and third, even if they were much more on rails than the original. If they rebooted the franchise and had you basically being Predator in an open world, I would play the gently caress out of this one too.

Does anybody else have trouble taking Sephiroth seriously as a villain now? Original or remake. He's just morphed into generic evil anime sword dude for me.

Basically. It's unfortunate because in the original game he was largely off-screen, and you were just chasing his trail of destruction.

Hell,  I recall Crysis 2 having a bit of a letdown-ending, iirc. But if I also arr-cee, my reaction at the game was one of absolute amazement at the beautiful landscape/engine/etc. Figured it should be cheap enough to casually grab it on Steam, and it turns out I apparently must have gotten the Crysis 2 Maximum edition in some humble bundle deal already?  Fine by me.

I haven't seen reason to bother with it again, and my dumbass preordered 76. Chances are they hosed it up anyhow or it just flat out won't meet expectations, but that's Bethesda, I guess. I can wander the wastelands of the Long Dark instead and at least know I'm going to get hosed on my own accord, like forgetting to bandage up a wolf bite and die in my sleep from blood loss. Good times.
