Epic High Five posted:I'm an ML, I believe most of these people can be reincorporated in the fullness of time, but I also believe that they must be stripped of all power before even the slightest bit of the beginning of progress could possibly be made. As I've said a hundred times before, I'm open to any possible method to achieve this that isn't what be cried over as "going too far" by lib dipshits despite it being maybe half as cruel as the carceral state they refuse to defang, but both history and theory tell me that the only answer is open palm slamming that "dictatorship of the proletariat" button sure, but this is, at best, a conditional right that's actually fine by me, but you should be clear both as to why a condition is necessary and what the condition is (capitalists are bastards who love exploiting systems and will do so if allowed electoral participation, working class interests and a solid understanding thereof).

Also they not only automated the system to do all the calculations en masse, they also automated the system which calculated how much people had been "overpaid" and generated & sent "You owe us $x000 dollars, your payments have been suspended" notices (AKA "robodebt") because some bean counter pointed out that even though this system would make a lot of mistakes, they would save millions of dollars doing it this way rather than having public servants check each case individually. And hey, if a couple thousand dole bludgers got hosed around who's going to care? As expected, tens of thousands of people got royally hosed by this dumbassery and a lot of them faced incredible hardships as a result. One of the biggest legal firms in the country organised a pro bono class action suit against the government which thousands of people signed onto but about 2,000 "robotdebt" recipients actually died while all this was occurring, the hardships and extreme poverty they were experiencing no doubt contributing to many of those deaths.
