I swear I'm the only person who hasn't played Diablo 3. I don't really want to either. I spent a lot of time trying to like Diablo 2 while my mates banged on about it being the best game ever so I feel like no matter how much they improved it I would be throwing good money after bad buying 3

Never play it on PC it is infinitely better with a controller and is just a single player game anyways, best played couch co-op or with a friend or two if multiplayer.

To be honest I really doubt I'd be able to stand Diablo 1 now days, but for its time it was a simple game with some cool atmosphere. I gave Diablo 2 a shot but I just didn't get the appeal at all and quit once I hit the swamp.

You were expecting to get into the tomb and to a chained up Baal before anyone got there but you're too late and Duriel is there to gently caress you up. The game is entirely about the interplay of choosing proper positioning and the weapons you have to manage enemies. I've never heard it described as lack of offense, especially when you throw melee into the mix. Between that, the nasty headshots, your arsenal of body launching weaponry and the grenades you are an absolute powerhouse but its very much a glass cannon game and you will get hurt very badly very quickly if your positioning is off or you get greedy.
