the demonizing the use of nukes can only really occur if you don't know about or just totally ignore 2 pretty important facts the first was that right up until the invasion of manchuria the japan was trying to work out a much more favorable surrender deal by using russia as an intermediary, this ended when russia invaded manchuria... 2 days after hiroshima the second was that japan knew enough about building a nuke to believe that the US could only produce like 1 every 6 months so after hiroshima they figured they had way longer than 3 days which was technically correct but the US had been saving up just enough fissionable material for 3 total devices and if a fourth was needed it wouldn't have been ready until like december at the earliest... but japan didn't know this because a captured pilot under interrogation lied through his teeth that the us could drop one every few days the day before nagasaki and his interrogators thought he was full of poo poo until the second bomb

Amazing to read nuclear bomb apologia in the climate change thread. Imperial Japan's government was pretty used to firebombed cities, that didn't change just because instead of 1000 bombs they only needed one very expensive one. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not a deciding factor in ending the war and even the USA knew it at the time. And maybe you shouldn't be surprised at being called a racist when you look at the worldwide damage due to fishing but somehow single out China as the problem.
