God this is giving me bad flashbacks... Only been twice and have to say 5pm crowd at Flemington racecourse is probably one of the trashiest I've ever seen. It's probably worse than day four at rainbow serpent.

This is old but it's still amusing watching a yellow plate navigate a hook turn.

Probably not those ones if they're that close to a built up suburban area like that. They tend to be a bit skittish in more regional areas but they get super tame when they spend enough time around people

The regional ones tend to more commonly interact with people by hurling themselves into the front of cars at high speeds.

That seems to be a standard in rough clubs all over Melbourne, I was catching a tram along Sydney Rd Brunswick one night and I noticed that at one of the bars the bouncers had a little portable booth with a camera to scan faces & ID cards, they had it set up out on the curb where the line to get in started

Common in western Sydney. They throw in a bag search for free.

Depends on how big they are. Some are aggressive/defensive. Some hate dogs ,and will fight them near water so as to more easily drown the dog.

They'll often go from one house to another in areas like that. If the development wasn't too rapid, they get used to people being around and tend not to spook easily. They can be fairly friendly as long as they're in control of the distance between you and them.

They can absolutely do you serious damage if they're pissed off, though.

Thank you all for giving me something new to be frightened of.

Never stand up tall around a kangaroo? So people standing up makes them mad? Demons, I say. I’m glad my local zoo only has wallabies, since they occasionally escape from their enclosure, and petting a wallaby on the sly is fun as long as the zookeepers don’t see you do it. Petting an escaped kangaroo seems like it would be much less fun.

Kangaroos are mostly just bouncy deer. Like any wild animal, they'll defend themselves if they think humans are being aggressive, based on their standards, and feeding them is a bit of a crapshoot.

They're good eating, too.

If a big red starts getting aggressive slowly lower yourself into a crouch and they usually calm down, as they think you were challenging them.

If B1gred the goon is getting aggressive just grab his balls.

If bigred the pokermachine has got your money, it's too late.
