Hi. Long-time lurker, started posting more in the past couple of years. I tend to stay in the gbs trump thread and cspam. Sometimes dnd. Cspam and dnd are two completely different creatures, where one is a more serious approach on events and requires debate and evidence. Its nice, but it always worried me that i might push the wrong buttons. I never felt prepared to take on a lot of the people in there. In cspam, i appreciate its relaxed shitposting approach. It really helped during trump years because while my family were freaking out or falling for the trump train, i could escape to laugh at the incompetence of it all and there were others that felt like me. I only started to really get involved with the chat thread due to the drama. If people were getting banned or leaving, i felt that my time to add my dumb opinion to things was coming. I liked the community that was built here and in the GBS trump thread. So far, i think people like me. I know they like my cats. As far as mods, i feel there should be less favoritism and cliques among mods. Mods are meant to be neutral parties and i feel that a lot of the drama and pressure stems from the favoritism and touch of power when probing. It be nice if the mod also had a good sense of sarcasm and humor, which a lot of the posts consist of. Getting a modship shouldn't be dreaded or villified, but neither should it be glorified. Its a volunteer job for the board you love, not a 9-5. I dont have any mods in mind, but i just hope these traits are in consideration. I know the admins and mods are trying and i do appreciate the steps youre taking, for what its worth.

I think overall CSPAM is in real good shape. I like that there’s a diversity of threads, not all of them dealing with heavy “traditionally” political topics. I do sympathize with the AI mod that popped in and said that the rest of the forums are pretty leftist as well. by the same token tho, I don’t think the forums are diminished by having, for example, a CSPAM games thread and a Games politics and current events thread. if anything the overlap encourages posters to branch out into other subforums they might not have otherwise gone to I think there can be a bit too much modding sometimes. like arf and spb will get hit with probes or have their threads gassed and it’s not necessary. let their posts stand or fail on their own merits And also, Josh Christ posted:Free benghazi 2 I’m not a fan of this perma

i think now that we have argued to the point where harton's papal infallibility has been proven, time and time agan, that c-spam is fine as it is. harton is a kind and generouis ruler and you really gotta be a huge rear end in a top hat going out of your way to cause problems to make him even notifce you the only improvment i can think of is that all instances of famous newspaper journalist glen "gleenwald" should be replaced with "harton" so the slower members on this forum can finally get whats going on with gentle nudging
