A few good greens ones occasionally, other then that?

Man for someone so metal as gently caress, he sure does come off as boring as hell. Labor is so drat awful at promoting the few actually good things they actually do.

What with your womenfolk allowed to roam free and unchained away from their kitchens?" min/max the personal responsibility vs collective responsibility. Ever since Ms Higgins went public, Morrison has been trotting out the "both sides of the chamber" argument. It's shockingly vile, even for him.

In three words, "Sit down boofhead", and the annoyed facial expression that accompanies them, Albo managed to show more humanity, personality, and likability than he has during his entire tenure as Opposition leader. Although I fear it may lead to some horrible scripted, posed, wooden attempts to repeat the performance of it. Completely missing the point, and sucking all the joy and energy from the one time he actually acted like a human being.

Vaccine mandate has come in for WA, have some mates who work in FIFO areas saying that a not insignificant chunk of workers were under the impression that the gov or business would cave and they are 'irreplacable' and are now shocked they got told they can't enter site this morning and are being terminated or sent home. Uneven distribution is wack, some places have basically only had 1 person others have had lots of people from all levels. A bunch of others are on LSL or leave without pay hoping to come back after Christmas without a vax. I imagine lots of them will cave when they realise they need money. I'm not really that surprised, lots of misinformation flying around FIFO groups and workers, and while some sites seem fine, others are the most backwater hellholes of racist and sexist shitheads that you've ever seen. A couple of nutters in a team can spread misinformation like wildfire among their workmates. Unfortunately I also expect services in a bunch of gov departments where mandates are coming into force over the next few as months to be impacted. We just got told that we'll have to upload our vax cert into our HR system 'soon' (i work in education, but not a school) and I imagine there is a crazy person or two in here that will refuse out of some weird principle.

I'd guess it is the one on the OCC Apparel store at Tempe, just across from the Ikea Block, driving northbound. It's a popular site for people to express their opinions on advertising. The last one in September was from there also.

I've got a local election running in my area and I've got no idea about anyone aside from Labour (bad but better than some other options) and Sustainable Australia (ecofash). The rest are all independent. What would be a good place to get more info about the candidates? I'm not super politically engaged right now but my thought is just "the more left the better" right now.

Aside from seeing what material they may have submitted over at elections.nsw.gov.au (assuming it's NSW anyway, mine was), honestly i just google the names and parties and hope for the best. Our ward has three 'groups', one labeled Labor and two unlabeled, but searching the unlabeled ones brought up that they're both full of Ex-Liberals or 'endorsed' by the LNP, as an example.

Yeah just search the names. Most independents will have some kind of social media presence that will let you know what their deal is. My local elections always have the same few fringe wierdos, including one guy who never posts an image of himself despite getting on the ballot for decades. In my experience it's a lot of ex-Liberals who know liberals have a hard time in inner city councils so they run as independent. Or just plain fringe wierdos. I tend to believe that council politics should be as independent as possible as the two party Coalition/Labor system is already strangling the Fed and state governments. But it's rare that I find independents worth voting for, which sucks.

My LGA has the usual bunch of anti-fluoridation wackjobs and that strongly aligns with "vaccination sceptics" so at least do some basic research if that's something you're not comfortable with. Despite being told time and time again that fluoridation is not a local government decision, it just won't go away.
