Oh Amazon is really evil, my point is that the most comprehensive surveillance structures in the West are the ones in the hands of private companies and are ones that people effectively opt-into. FBI analysts wake up in hot flushes having dreams about being able to access the data that Amazon and Google have on you. e: it's a different kind of information problem. Amazon can use your browsing history to work out if you are pregnant before you even know, which is pretty scary, but it just wants to use this data to sell you pregnancy products. I didn't drink or cook with tap water but I used it for stuff like tooth brushing. The water in the major cities is generally not that bad nowadays, I've seen people send bottles of it for actual testing and it usually is a bit dirty but passable. Not like I'd be surprised if that bottled water I was getting was just Chengdu tap anyway, but.

I just assumed that as a Finn I had the worst pre-developed resistance to literally anything so I played it safe.

What is the scam here when I get randomly messaged by a Chinese bot? Or maybe it isn't a bot and it's a real human mass messaging random phone numbers. She asked where I was from and I told her I was born on the Senkaku Islands. She apparently didn't recognize that.

Cant recommend the strawberry milkshakes from Guangzhou airport, at least China Southern plane toilet was good. My brothers gut flora was permanently destroyed by living in Cambodia, he managed to get Typhoid while digging a well, alot of food poisoning, But the most common was "Cambodian sea aids" a catch-all phrase for wierd lesions etc from swimming off Otres beach. It's all Casinos now tho, RIP.

My friend's mom treated their dog's gastric issues with TCM. She believes it cured him but my friend and I think it might have something to do with following the vet's advice to not feed the dog huge portions of rich human foods, but who can say for sure? She's very nationalist and tells me all the time about how """Western medicine""" doesn't work. I almost caused a problem when she invited me over for tea and told me how the tea was grown in Taiwan Province. I'm an idiot so I opened my mouth to say "Oh theres a Taiwan and a Taiwan Province??"
