the #1 cause of death for london based counter intelligence agents is suicide via padlocking themselves in a gym bag from the inside without leaving fingerprints on the bag, the padlock or the surrounding area

No, how dare you impugn Russia like this

The nerve agent was carefully concealed in a fake perfume bottle and, after carefully applying it to someone's door handle, they dumped it in a park where somebody found it and tried to use it as perfume, and we all got super mad

It was the other 12 obvious assassinations that we kinda shrugged off to the point the loving met police started breaking ranks over the shame of such mediocre coverups. "Shot myself in a gym bag" is great but don't sleep on "hurled myself thirty feet out of my Notting hill windows to impale myself" or "accidentally fired a rocket at my own helicopter after telling police I was about to be assassinated"

I think he thinks that the impunity that he's extended in the UK will somehow translate to an American court where it'll be him sitting in the dock while a witness points directly at him and says, "This is the man who raped me with his pal Jeffrey Epstein."

That will not end well for him. The jury will trip over themselves to award her billions of dollars. I just can't imagine the rest of the royals letting him blithely walk face first into a woodchipper like that. I get that Liz is being propped up on marionette strings at this point, but Chuck's no slouch and has to know it'd be a disaster.

nerve gas (gel) was Salisbury, the attack in London was with a radioactive pellet

tbf what can you do? tit-for-tat chemical weapons attack? commence bombing? a bunch of mealy mouthed soft power hand-wringing?

Stephen Curtis

Quick search mostly brings up the case being "reexamined" after the skripal poisoning, but there was an article some time after the gym bag incident by a met officer who was at the scene and told bluntly that there was nothing to see, and he eventually decided to list the cases he felt were similar enough (in mi5 showing up to shoo everyone away, neatly stacked electronic devices at the house) that he felt they were targeted, and that was one

Ofc a helicopter blowing up is not exactly suspicious, I just like that it gets put on the list
