drat, just noticed my 3DS' battery was starting to bulge. Immediately disposed of it. Luckily I bought a brand new official one as a spare a few months ago. Be careful if you're on your original battery, pals.

There's 3 batteries, the one in the Pro Controllers is shared with the Old3DS, Old2DS and New2DSXL The New3DS uses a different battery, and the 3DS XL models use another different battery

N3ds XL and classic 3ds batteries as far as the eye can see, naturally. n3ds used a third totally unique battery that isn’t used in anything else.

From what I have read, you can use a CTR-003 on a Nu3DS if you have something to hold it in place (it's smaller than KTR-003 but otherwise compatible). Mine is still working fine, but I'll likely have to go this route (and hopefully it will work) when the old battery dies.

Just picked up 1 of each, would have grabbed 2 of the CTR-003 but apparently they can't ship more than 2 lithium batteries in a single shipment (which is BS you just have to declare them properly)

For what it's worth I bought a third-party New 3DS XL battery on Amazon probably two years ago and it's been fine this whole time. Tight fit though, for sure-- it seems to be a tiny bit bigger than the OEM ones.

I feel like 4U was my favorite overall, it introduced aerial attacks and has a lot of really cool new and unique monsters to take advantage of the new map verticality, and overall IMO just feels like a very cohesive experience. Generations is the latest, is a sort of a greatest hits sendoff to the old portable series, adds a bunch of mechanics on top of the usual combat, and has a ton of content, but feels more like a big pile of missions dumped out for you to dig through as you please, and less of a journey / story escalation than 4. Maybe better for people who are already bought in on the series and looking for more?

I'd definitely just say get 4 Ultimate and if you like it then get Generations Ultimate on the Switch when it next goes on sale rather than getting the pared-down Generations on 3DS.

From a quick glance on google, the 3ds version of Apollo Justice seems to have some quality of life improvements. Stuff like a better save system where you can play after saving, coming with two save slots, and the 3ds version has the option to play it through English or Japanese. We are moving toward "now or never" for eshop games. So if something is on sale and you're on the fence, keep that in mind. Especially for digital only games!

People seem to love Phoenix Wright but the series never jumped out at me. If you had to recommend one of these to a Phoenix Wright skeptic/newcomer, which would you recommend? Alxprit posted:I'd definitely just say get 4 Ultimate and if you like it then get Generations Ultimate on the Switch when it next goes on sale rather than getting the pared-down Generations on 3DS. Worth noting that there's a free program you can download that allows you to transfer a MH Gen save from your 3DS to the Switch version of the game, if you're into that. But I put almost 250 hours into 4U and only about 30 into Gen so definitely get 4U. There's no way the 4U multi-player servers are still up, right? It's a shame, co-op MH rules.
