For the most part is just for memory purpose but sometime I rely on it to find the right route. Also nowadays a phone is a lightest high quality camera. Really my only complaint of modern phones that have good camera is that none of them have removable battery. I had a Samsung Note 4 it was one of the last phones with removable battery I held on it it for a long time.

I don’t think I posted, but I got a les Paul from Ali months ago. It’s a beauty but it is not good. The frets were horrible, a friend did what he could. The pickups suck, the switch is wonky and needs replacing. If my master genius friend would set it up we could make something good of it but he does t want to touch it. It offends him

Ordered new hatches for my red Nintendo Wii home computer system for 3,50€. Arrived in about 1½ weeks. Fit is like 99%, colour 99% too (I think my Wii might have faded a bit). Nothing really noticeable. The plastic feels a bit thinner but then it's a bit more flexible so it probably won't break like the originals. 10/10 now to find a battery compartment lid for my Game & Watch. e: gently caress, just realized I shouldäve ordered two sets because I always break loving everything.

But yeah, constantly doing e.g. AltGr+8 or 9 for [ ] brackets is no fun. Also thanks to old 7-bit/ASCII encoding, we still have § and ¤ on our keyboards.. really useful these days https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_sign https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Currency_sign_(typography) [edit] AliExpress has a new category: JointHorse fucked around with this message at 17:21 on Jul 21, 2022 |

In my experience with solar panels you actually have to go with the expensive ones from REI right now for them to be worth a poo poo.

I didn’t know that, would explain why my testing at home vs. use in the field was so different. Unrelated to the windshield issue: Over summer I went camping and ended up in a stupid situation where my solar power bank didn’t output enough power to charge batteries, but it did out enough to charge the other power bank, which in turn would charge batteries. Solar power bank -> power bank -> battery charger. I tried to run it all at the same time but didn’t seem to be working so I ended up just doing a step at a time and it got me enough juice.

Can anyone suggest where I can get my hands on this particular battery? https://chargewithpower.com/product...esblack-online/ The sites I can find it on either don't ship to the US (like that one) or are just unimaginably sketchy. I wouldn't normally want an aliexpress battery, but for this gadget I have, the makers' recommended battery is this one, just bought in bulk on alibaba and with their brand decal on it, and of course with a markup. Woo! A parcel from AliExpress arrived. I ordered this GBA IPS screen; https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003173696193.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.10ef1802ZkSBG8 The installation was pretty straight forward, though I did end up opening the GBA up three times because I kept finding one little thing wasn't quite right. If I ever do it a second time it would only take 10-15min, I strongly recommend it to anyone who has a GBA lying around. It's crazy to think we thought this was fine back in the day. It actually looks much better than what my cheap tablet's camera is capable of capturing.

Anne Whateley posted:Can anyone suggest where I can get my hands on this particular battery? https://chargewithpower.com/product...esblack-online/ Image search found a couple of them that are super expensive in AUD, not sure if the price will change for US*. I couldn’t find any others but the “seller recommends” section has some that look like they came from the same company but not exactly the same one. I also found some diy powerbanks, empty shells with plugs that you can fill with batteries of your own choosing. Maybe this would be more reliable/trustworthy than the Aliexpress completely-farcical-capacity special. Not meaning for your purpose specifically Anne Whateley but for other general powerbank users. edit: *I mean of course the price will change but I don’t know if it will be any more reasonable. Are there any 18650s with tabs on Ali that are decent capacities? Looking to swap out one built into a screwdriver. But almost all I see are about 2500mah.

2500mAh is among the highest capacity any 18650s will have. And then the other side of that coin is that literally every Aliexpress battery rating will be lying through their teeth and you'll probably get half that.

I'd consider shopping somewhere that might be a bit more reputable if you want a higher capacity battery. Pretty much every aliexpress listing (and probably a lot of ebay and amazon ones) will overestimate their mAh ratings. I haven't bought from this store but I've read on some forums that you will get what they list from them: https://www.18650batterystore.com/
