Death Stranding is actually a game about building infrastructure and engaging in side quests to help build more infrastructure. Its incredibly satisfying when you finally have a building and slingshot network going through an area that was almost impossible to traverse safety the first time you approached it. Keep on keeping on 👶👍

I loved GoW 2018 and Ragnarok. I think they could've trimmed both a bit without making them worse but overall very good games.

So far I think GoW:Rag is better as a video game with the additional variety in locations, enemies and bosses but GoW18 had a better narrative, being more intimate and character focused.

cult of the lamb makes you do some very mean things to get all of its achievements but i'm probably going to do them because i've sunk 10 hours into this over the last 3 days that's a level of engagement that carries you all the way to the finish line

I played only the Director's Cut but my understanding is using the floating carrier on ziplines is an addition that comes with that, and I'd argue that alone is worth the 5 bucks. I think the Maser Gun is also a DC addition, which greatly reduces the headache of dealing with early game MULE camps (I hate the Bola Gun).

In DS1 Endurance was easily the godking of all your stats, while Resistance was literally useless. A lot of people in Elden Ring didn't level their HP because that wasn't such a big deal in DS3, but in ER it is a very big deal. I doubt anyone else is playing this game but I need to post a picture of this level because what the gently caress The burner arrangements repeat so there must be some specific way of cooking each layer of sausages which works for all of them. Absolute bastard of a puzzle game, definitely worth it for $6.

I'm playing Pentiment now after getting it gifted on Steam for christmas, and it's really intriguing. Just managed to finish the first day and I can't help but feel some kind of a heavy, foreboding sense of doom which makes me second guess every dialogue decision I make, no matter how innocent they seem. I guess I'll have to see if faffing about talking to everyone instead of going to work on time will catch up to me eventually.

In Death Stranding's final fight, people in the DS thread were saying how much they hated it when Sam beats the tar out of Higgs shouting, "DELIVER THIS CARRY THAT" , but that was by far my favorite part of the game. Yes, gently caress you for making me do all this poo poo
