I'm pretty sure these are the ones where if the power fails (eg because the car is on fire) you have to lift the door yourself unassisted to escape. It's like that for pretty much all their models - to leave the car if the power fails, there's a weird hidden cable you have to pull, or in the case of the Model 3 rear doors, they just don't open. This is likely a big factor in the fact that more people have burned to death inside Teslas than in Ford loving Pintos.

The model X doors are just so bafflingly stupid, it solves no actual problem and introduces a poo poo ton more. Just the stupidest gimmick. The thing is anyone that can buy a model X doesn't give a poo poo if the car is a janky piece of crap because they are rich and have at least one other presumably reliable car.
