I don't think I'd trust 2 dollar oven mitts with my hands A lot of the cheap ones turn out to be made of synthetic fabrics that immediately melt to your skin and catch on fire if you actually try to use them on a hot surface. I own those kitten oven mittens. The quality feels decent and the print looks good, but the real issue is that the thumb only extends around 2in - i wouldn't use it for anything more than 2-handed grabbing a cookie sheet, but it's great decoration
