What did you say the strategy was?

If you run late on train 1 on a specific station, people think/believe that train 2 will also be so they can compensate and still get on it. Even with 40+ minutes to spare in between the official times, i still managed to lose the follow up train on the first leg of the journey to France. It seems like there is some weird poo poo going on in the south of France up to Lyon. Trenitalia and Inoui went to 50-70 km/h on areas you usually go to 120-150.

Edit: Automoto.it, a very good italian motoring web magazine published their report, if you want to see what happened in the village/pits here it is

Ohhhh I thought you were saying SNCF trains are on time, which, lol

To be brutally honest, i experienced delays on inoui(before approaching Lyon station, ten minutes, then ended up at paris montparnasse on time) and Trenitalia(coming and going away from Lyon, respectively thirty five and fifteen). The inoui train i was supposed to catch on the eight was precisely on time, if it had even five minutes of delay i would have been able to catch it and save me time and money. Overall sncf and inoui have been with acceptable levels of delay, so i won't have much to yell about. OBB in Italy for instance, i could yell for hours about their hours-long delays.

Here's the fireworks and drones celebration from Le Mans. First time I've ever seen a drone show in person - it's really spectacular!
Not sure how well the video and a 2d screen will capture it.

Apologies for the finger, it goes away eventually.

This was from the Friday night concert. They did the same show on Saturday night, from what I could see, but I was down at Mulsanne then.

Oh I pretty much wasted Friday, i chilled at the village for a while and once it started lightly raining in the afternoon, i hightailed back to the apartment(surprising as it seem, i catch colds pretty easy so i didn't want to risk it). I heard those fireworks when i was trying to sleep, with the highway traffic under the flat pretty much stopping me from getting sleep.
Same story on Saturday really, I hoped to stay longer but i got cold feet and went away once the weather moved from cloudy to poo poo.

Do you like Ohio? I dislike Ohio but that’s a deep seated cultural failing on my part.

Anyway, come to Summit Motorsports Park and let’s watch the cars go by together. Or separate if you’re a loner cool type.

Thankfully the number of flying tires has been low, so no risk of eating debris. It seems a bit haphazard to not even chain the service accesses.

I don’t think I’ve ever watched a bad 6 Hours of the Glen. It’s long enough to make cool strategy plays a thing and technical enough to make for good action on track. Plenty of places to pass if you’re good and/or gutsy. The only bad part about attending is the upstaters with extremely questionable hygiene, the kind you can smell from several feet away even over the burning race gas

It seems like it always comes down to the last 20 minutes. IMSA should be more popular but I’m not going to complain about $100 weekend passes.

Banging the skid plate on the ground (repeatedly) was an old way of creating more down force and it got to the point that now there's a rule for it. So good luck with that Penske.

Watched the F1 Academy report from Zandvoort and its striking how poorly kept that track is. There’s garbage all over, the kerbs are just thrashed and because it’s all on dunes, the trackside grass looks lovely, not to mention they’ve put new asphalt only on the most used part of the parabolica, giving it a distinct 80’s Dijon/Ricard lovely vibe. Actually , the whole track has that ‘83 lovely feeling going.
