This is incredible but also for some reason reminded me of this scene in Columbo of Peter Falk loving up walking down a steep hill that I assume was an accident they just kept in the episode because it's hilarious:

Saw Dazed and Confused for the first time yesterday. Pretty crazy how much the movie is just American Graffiti time shifted twenty years. Good Film though, Linklater is a drat fine filmmaker when he let's his more odd Film making inclinations take a backseat. Still think I'd put before sunrise on the top of his list though.

Now watch Everybody Wants Some!! which is the in-between.

Towards the end of Fight Club there's a bit where Brad Pitt throws Edward Norton's character down some stairs and in the commentary track on the dvd

quote:

Brad Pitt: How many times did you ask the stunt guy to do that?
David Fincher: Twelve
Pitt: Which take did you use?
Fincher: The first.

Mill Creek released Street Fighter The Movie in a steel book a year or two again. It came with a replica of a Bison Buck. Weird request, but does anyone here happen to have that, and if so, would they be able to send me a high resolution scan of the buck?

What’s your choice to grill? I’ve been on chicken a lot this summer. Previously was mostly burgers or steaks, but really enjoying some thighs grilled low and slow.

Grilled chicken kicks a lot of rear end. Since I had like 20 people over I did my staple of burgers, brats, and hot dogs. Oh and grilled some corn. When it's just the family I do chicken or ribs, whole potatoes and then a random veggie (grilled asparagus is v good).

Having watched The Irishman and Raging Bull basically back to back, I’m starting to suspect that Scorsese has an anti-violence agenda. He made two whole movies about why you shouldn’t beat the poo poo out of guys.

I’m tired of all these movies about guys who suck. I want to watch movies about cool guys who do the right thing.

This is why Bringing Out The Dead is Scorsese’s best movie.

Agreed, grilling rules. A smoker does seem like a fun addition.

I want to start grilling more seafood, but I feel like I usually did get salmon to my preferred texture, too dry at times. Shrimp is easy at least.

The Pleasure Principle is an amazing album and Cars isn't even the best song on there. The Replicas*, Pleasure Principle, Telekon run was some really good poo poo.

*Technically this was Tubeway Army but the following two albums were the exact same band they just started playing under the name Gary Numan rather than Tubeway Army. And I'm pretty sure some later editions of Replicas are credited towards Gary Numan rather than the band.

I like The Departed, but it's a weird rear end loving movie because he's remaking a movie that's very much inspired by Martin Scorcese movies

And yet Infernal Affairs is the superior film by far. The ending of the Departed is just painfully stupid and it's kind of shocking that Martin Scorsese would be responsible for something that dumb and unsubtle. I also really hate Mark Wahlberg and his character clearly only exists in the film so he can have that obnoxious "gotcha!" moment at the end. It's a mediocre film made even worse by everything relating to Mark Wahlberg.

The Departed is an engaging and enjoyable movie even if it's not one of Scorsese's deepest or most artistic or superior to the original. I love that the guy has the range to make a popcorn flick too

"Jesus, did I say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?"
The Departed has a LOT of headshots.

But not nearly as many headshots as Assault on Precinct 13 (2005).

AOP13 has got to be in the top ten for alltime cinematic headshot kills.
