Cannon is clearly trying to ride the knife edge of what she can get away with on Trump's behalf while avoiding outright removal herself. If she gets the boot, she can't help Trump anymore. The evidence is solid so all they can do is keep putting up reasons to delay delay delay and hope Trump can pardon himself after the election. It's going to be up to the voters.

one of the crappy things about all of this is no matter how harmful and immoral the behavior of politicians becomes, there are people in our real lives who consider it rude to ever briefly point it out. like any amount of criticizing terrible harmful behaviors from people in power makes you the bad rude guy in their mind. it's not like i'm standing up in the middle of a wedding screaming about republicans. there are just some who apparently want to live a permanent fantasy and never think or talk about actual problems, while others just don't have the luxury of completely ignoring all of politics eternally.

I've noticed this, too. One of my pet peeves is when I'm told I'm "being political" after someone already brought politics into the discussion. Saying "hey, are you aware the guy you're talking about in such glowing terms was charged and/or documented kicking puppies" shouldn't be treated as rudeness when the alternative is sitting across from this person, staring ahead blankly as they monologue about Representative Puppy Kicker as some defender of freedom or something. I can't stop people from wanting to stick their heads in the sand when it comes to politics, but I draw the line at situations like these where someone brings politics up and then criticizes you for pushing back on what they're saying ten seconds later on in the conversation. If they wanted a brunch conversation, they should've stuck to brunch topics. Simple as.

Just LOL, I’m seeing people in my home town in Oklahoma talking about not being able to reach pornhub. There’s a huge internet hub/backbone right outside of Dallas a lot of their internet traffic gets routed through, and I can only assume it’s the pornhub Texas geoban cascading over, where it thinks they’re trying to browse Pornhub from TX rather than OK. Just LOLs all around for the GOP these days.
