Can you explain why one would buy two of the same car? They are different models of the 500, but it still baffles me that you would want two of the same vehicle.

One of those cars has two doors and one has four doors thus not the same car.

Different models & trim of the BMW 3 series.

Exactly, that's why you would want to buy two of the "same" car.

It has one, too. I guess the question is now, why 3 of the same car?

USDM lights + grilles? Heh.

Still need to upgrade lights on the '87.

Really glad to see a real iS lip that's not destroyed on your car.

drat, yours look nice.
I need to replace/upgrade my headlights for non-aesthetic reasons (they are way, way too weak for my eyes), is just swapping to the euro specs sufficient?

I just bought the e-codes for my 318 and they're significantly better - H1s and H4s. It's what I plan to get for the car on the left. On the 325 on the right, it has the "euro smileys" which are H1s all around I think, and I like the H1/H4 combo better. But Mad Tyte GDM Looks.

I don't like the sealed beam look or light output.

I think I need to get a set of depo lights to replace my aging projectors, but these days they're over 200 bucks (at least the last time i checked).

They're $200 for a new set of e-codes, $50ea.

Have been blasting around in the '88 a bit while we wait for the BringATrailer listing to go live... Such a fun car. Have been putting some miles on it to ensure we have worked out anything it might need and it's driving really nicely. I went and took my dad for a ride last night and he was impressed; he hasn't ever owned a BMW car, just a bike, but he was clearly appreciative of what a fun package it is.

Its top-end power since turning it into the 2.7 i stroker is noticeable, it really likes to pull hard from 4k up. Even with the 2.93 (LSD) rear end, and at ~6000 ft, it's very streetable, and of course highway RPMs are much lower than if it had a 3.73. I want one of these to keep now.

I'm glad someone is taking me up on my advice to buy a couple of E30s.

Give up RWD and you get the GTI / Golf R and Civic Si / Type-R, if you want a mechanical LSD with a manual and the option for four doors. Miata / FRS / ATS-V / Camaro / Mustang if you want manual / LSD and are willing to give up four doors.

I think I might sell my 318ti, 318i and drive my wife's Honda Fit as a DD. Get her a wagon of some sort, and then do stupid poo poo to my 325is'.
