I've never cared for/about UFC and I liked the series. Though I'm surprised it took two years to make. It would seem like he could redo his audio such that he's either always in a studio or at least always in the same place because there were sections/takes where it was clear that he wasn't and it was a little bit jarring. Bois's graphic production was really good as usual, though.

It should be completely legal for a pitcher to throw at a guy who batflips as long as he is not throwing a baseball but a banana cream pie

And the batter can charge the mound afterwards only if he yells out "why I oughta..." and only if he winds up his punch with an exaggerated windmill motion. Or he has the option of trying to poke the pitcher in the eyes, but they can respond with the impenetrable "hand on the bridge of the nose" block maneuver.

2019 MLB Announcer Crew Rankings

I think Kalas is just ... blah as hell. Blummer is fun and Julia is great (though I guess they don't count anyone not in the booth?), but Kalas just bores me to death.

Wish they included the radio crews as well, Steve Sparks and Robert Ford have grown on me.

Apropos of nothing else, this is a bit weird:

quote:

Mattress Mack is off oxygen and walking the hospital corridors like he will survive
(the link goes to an article about him betting big on the Astros, several millions)

I guess they don't know he was placing all these large bets on the Astros as a hedge against his business deal where he LOSES money if the Astros win the WS, because he is going to refund a bunch of furniture purchases if/when that happens. He's probably leveraged in such a way at this point that he doesn't care either way from a financial standpoint. He does want them to win on a personal level though, he's a Houston icon/fixture/pretty good dude for the community.
