just a joke, not trying show off, far from it, more pointing out how it will be harder to resist betting on nice guy i've met and a favorite on top of that.

"Fighters with no wrestling background vs fighters who do have one more likely lose
This was validated in 64 out of 90 (71%) fights"

hmmmm, but I thought wrestling ruined 100% of things?

just because a fighter wins or loses doesn't mean the fight is good

Uhhh, wrestling ruins things on the way to victory, not makes good fights.

How often do bookies nix bets they've set up? Are there unspoken rules about when you can still cancel them?

Too bad it's a bookie, or JaySB could simply post receipts.

1. If I tell you guys and you bet you could change the betting line lol

2. This isn't my regular gym, I train there once a week roughly and I'm not sure how often they train there.

3. They're a small underdog.

It's still a Vegas gym, though, right? I wonder if it's still the hardest city to pick a guy, though.

I've seen people floating the idea that Jackson put money on himself winning by decision and that makes his entire 'performance' make sense

If you're a slight overdog and want to fix a fight, would there be more money in betting on yourself with a decision as method of victory or betting on the opponent to win by any means?
Assuming that you have enough control to throw the fight in either direction.

> but he has done thousands of hours of ring time with dozens of guys that would effortlessly beat the poo poo out of Jake Paul.

Askren isn't those guys. His punching technique is pretty limited, and he's never shown much speed or power.
I'm not expecting him to get stopped, but he could get outpointed in a fight with short rounds and very limited clinch time.

jase, sorry to have to face down your mortality like that. Sucks not knowing the hour or the day but that the month is around the corner.

I dunno if you have any goon contacts in real life, but I if I hear the news, I'll definitely pour one out for you.

I thought there was at least one person (the pro poker player?) who corroborated at least some part of his stories but just as likely could be this:

I remember JaySB vouching for jase1’s pool skills. They played poker in the same circles sometimes, iirc, and that jase was much much better at pool than poker.
I didn’t have any reason to doubt JaySB at the time. He had enough unrelated posting on AI (SB being Small Block) that I didn’t immediately assume it was a sockpuppet.

Anyways, just found this now after Carl casually dropped it in the UFC thread.
