Davincie posted:The new Miniature Tigers album is almost out, they are a pretty good indie pop/rock group and you can listen to their new album here: I actually saw them this week and it was a really short setlist with the songs I mentioned above and only like 2 songs that weren't new, but it was still enjoyable. Terrific band, so underrated. Paperback Writer fucked around with this message at 07:17 on Mar 9, 2012 |

very fun live band. Never really listen to them but they've been at a couple festivals I've attended when I had some downtime and they suprised me.Schremp Howard posted:I'm really digging this new Purity Ring album. Paperback Writer fucked around with this message at 19:59 on Mar 4, 2015 |

I find it funny how much they post about her when she's been pretty vocal about her dislike for the site and the way they present her.

britishbornandbread posted:Anyone hear the new Phantogram single? Hopefully a grower. They're here in the UK in November so I'll have to see them again. I do feel if you split up their two albums and standalone EP youd have one incredible LP. Don't love the new track but it's good enough that I'm still excited for Three. I've seen them live 4 times now and they always kill it and yeah, they have about 10 really amazing tracks spread across their discography.

I freaking love the new Warpaint. Their other records never really hit with me save a couple songs, but this one is pretty awesome all the way through.

I really like the second half of the Haim album. Mainly Walking Away and Right Now. I mainly love how it's mixed. Not as powerful as their first album but it's pretty nice. Paperback Writer fucked around with this message at 23:21 on Jul 7, 2017 |

Elohim is so good. Saw her open for the Glitch Mob recently and she’s playing a lot of US summer festivals. This is a somewhat official remix, it’s the way better version she’s been playing live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naqe0c3VpXk

wow Beach House was so good last night. Really nice venue in Portland I’d never been to before. the opener Sound of Ceres really blew me away too. Such a cool show visually, the fact that it was so dark and no one was using their phone made it even cooler.

Slandible posted:Ya, I've followed her for a bit. I think she's like pop rap, but it's different and I like some of her stuff. I liked See Me in a Crown quite a bit and hoping the album is more of that. (edit: I take it back, I’m liking it more after another listen) Really bothers me the amount of hate she gets for being an “industry plant”, her personality and the way she dresses, etc. There’s a lot worse crap out there. And it’s not like it’s a secret her brother writes and produces the music. Paperback Writer fucked around with this message at 00:05 on Mar 31, 2019 |

some of my favorite Bright Eyes songs are the b-sides. Trees Get Wheeled Away, Loose Leaves, Cartoon Blues... And his first solo album has aged really well, just listened to it the other day.

kinda reminds me of this artist I recently discovered who I was shocked didn’t have a lot of followers. She just released her first album and it’s dope as hell but so is her first EP. Psychedelic pop-rock? A lot of genres going on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MXwrF5HZ-k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5IgboGeEfc
