Are reps able to do that at this point? Well what does your plan look like now? What kind of phone are you using? Looking to get a new one? Tell us what you're using/what you're looking to use and maybe we can help you break it down.

They're waiving the 250 dollar equipment fee to set up Smart Security starting today. You would still have to pay for extra packages but still.

This sounded like a great move so I asked the support rep to make the change. You don't have any phones on NEXT right? Because without next its 40 a line not 30

Customer service removed them without a fuss and backdated them, but still lovely (although I'm assuming this is in part due to rear end in a top hat commission requirements). More than a survey go back and ask to speak to their manager. If customer care left notes in the account the manager will be able to see them and from there action can be taken. Nothing drives me up the wall worse than feature slamming. Its dishonest at best and malicious at worst.

I would only ever deal with a couple guys when I would do upgrades because most of them didn't know what they were doing.

But seriously if you're converting lines and maybe adding a couple go right in, reps should be very happy to take care of this for you.

It sounds like the N7 is on a separate share plan, based on the size of the bill its probably on a data only plan, but still with his discount 10GB is a much better plan for all three devices. Also, no one seems to be including a $36 dollar activation fee for the tablet as well. Or did you not have one Dradien?

Can I get a 2 year contract with AT&T, pay $200 for whatever the latest and greatest version of the iPhone is, then sell the (I'm assuming locked) iPhone for $500-600 and use my Nexus 5 for the remainder of the 2 year plan? You could do this but its kinda pointless I think. I would just bring your Nexus 5 over, do the 2 GB plan out of contract for 65 dollars a month and get $100 credit within 90 days if you do this before the end of the month.

There haven't been any reports of contract customer data getting substantially higher priority than non-contract, have there? This is not a prepaid plan. We still run a credit check you're just providing your own equipment. There is a prepaid option that is similar but you don't get the $100 credit.

I want to get it for a discount by signing a 2 year contract, as no other company can really give a significantly better deal for my plan. You have literally no chance in getting a discount on a brand new device on launch day. If you're looking for a lower price check national retailers although I doubt anyone is discounting the device at this point. Also like everyone else has said the only thing that asking for a 2 year contract on the device is going to do is make the rep unhappy. Not to mention that there is no way (at least in my market) for a rep to give you any kind of monthly credit or discount. Customer care might be able to do that part for you but its not likely.

I've also had this issue with my previous phone, a HTC One X. Is this an AT&T issue? If so, how can I fix it? The message apps in general is sluggish as well. I seem to remember having a customer with this issue a couple months back. I want to say its some kind of software or firmware issue with the M8 thats specific to the AT&T version. Check your software updates to make sure you don't need to do any. It does also seem to happen at random, i've had an m8 since launch and have yet to have this problem so its not happening to everyone.

the posted:I have ATT UVerse internet. Do you have a network terminal in your basement or garage? Should be a white or gray box with an AT&T logo on it and is probably made by Motorola or Allcatel or something like that. Assuming you have this you have a MoCa connection as you are using coaxel. If it's a simple set up the coaxel line probably runs to a splitter or is running straight up to the connection spot that is currently in use. If you want to change the spot where it's connected in the house from the upstairs to the downstairs (this'll be easier in your basement.) Trace the coaxel from its terminal in the room you wanted to be connected to its point of termination. Since its not working I'm thinking it's not plugged in or there is no cable. If it's the former plug it in to your network terminal where the coax connection is or into the splitter if the latter I would remove the face plate in the room you want your connection in and run a coax to the room from an ont/splitter. Then plug in your modem and test your connection. May take a few minutes to reboot. Now if your network terminal is not easily accessible or you cant see or get to the wires it may be worth it to just have them move it. Also if you do not have a terminal in home (which you may not, uverse sometimes runs fiber to the neighborhood as opposed to fios which is always fiber to the premises) it may be as simple as screwing in a coax or as complicated as changing some poo poo around on a pole outside. In which case I urge you to have a professional do this. Hope this helps and I'm not just stating the obvious.

smackfu posted:We're getting U-Verse cable / internet installed tomorrow. Does anyone know how the wiring works? Is it coax inside the walls of the house, or does it use the existing phone lines? Sorry, I haven't been monitoring this thread closely for the last couple weeks or since I left the company really but; Unless your current in home cabling is utter poo poo (possible in older homes). The coax that runs through your home will be used. Now depending on your neighborhood your either fiber to the neighborhood or fiber to the premises. FTTP seems a lot more common so a fiber line will run to a network terminal that will be installed in a garage/basement/attic or outside and sealed. Unless your internet speed is going to be over 100mbs you'll be using a CoAX connection and the cable that comes out of your network terminal will be connected to a master splitter in most homes. This splitter will usually split off to most of the outlets in your home or if your wiring isn't centralized it'll go to the connections that are needed. as far as new installations of jacks go usually the tech will run a wire the easiest way possible drill a hole in the wall and run the cable through. If you want to clean it up and make it an actual wall plate that's up to you but honestly its going to depend on the technician who comes out. Edit: or if I had read your post I would have seen you had it installed already so you probably already know. So enjoy your service.
