If you guys want another lemonparty with apples (2x the size) I still have quite a bit on an alt if I can recall the log-in. If you manage to get the server population back up high enough, it would be good to repeat so just let me know.
Below is original wall of text for new players for lemon parties (gives the videos from Grithok some context)

Age of Wushu - Goon Tang Clan 1st Invitational Lemon Party

Skip to the videos below if you don't want/need an explanation.

Firstly some context. In age of wushu every week the top 10 crafters each get prize boxes, in these boxes are often special outfits. We discovered that the farmer profession got points for planting crops but didn't have to harvest the crops to get rank. Last week my character got in the top 10 and got a reward box containing an outfit.

Some people in the guild thought the outfit looked funny because it looks even more like peasant lowbie gear than the gear starting players get. We set out to plant but not harvest many, many crops. This started to cause lag in the surrounding area and even culling when too many crops get planted. Then the server crashed.

We had no clue if the crash was our fault, but we felt it was our duty to stress test the server by going to the busiest zone and growing the biggest sized crops we could. Normal planting looks like this:
[timg]http://i.imgur.com/iaaWXBb.jpg[/timg]

This is a goon plantation:

Then we realised that unlike most crops that despawn in 5-10 minutes of not being harvested lemon trees last a good 45-60 min. We soon had the entire farmland of the zone covered in trees so no one could grow anything else. Then we noticed all the carts going past our plantation.

Wushu is a pvp focused game, one of the tasks available is protecting carts rear end they travel between two locations. Players not fr4om your guild may click on your cart to flag as a bandit and attack and destroy your cart stealing the reward you would have got from the task. Our makeshift lemon forest gave us the perfect cover to raid many carts

The entire area was a laggy mess full of culling due to so many extra entities. Players would approach the forest in confusion then real back as darts, claws, and angry goons flew out to destroy them.

There are 92 people playing through Steam; that is some terrible numbers. There are more Steam users playing Ragnarok Online than AoW. They really couldn't have hosed that Steam launch up further could they..

Well Orv I think is trying to create a "frenemies" situation with another group it seems per the thread-read, because the streamer alpha groupies already want to be BFF forever with no wars (seriously why do people want sandbox games with no or minor death penalties to be peaceful). So there is someone singularly trying to be reasonable but this guy yeah... I don't recall most of the ones who responded about it ever actually being around for anything eventful for AoW politics/guild outlook over the past year of launch (and heck even in beta?) If Grithok can't recall him then I have no loving idea who he is. Usual goon poo poo, different mmo I guess? I thought everything that happened in AoW was fun, even the KoS part was still easy as a leveling newbie (I went through that) because death is a joke.

Vendors will sell them, yes, but crappy starter ones. They can go up to class 5 jade just like other crafted stuff.

So I need to wander to each school on koop and buy every weapon recipe we don't have yet basically on launch day right? If the T2 recipe go into the weekly rotation we could try ranking for a couple of weeks in hopes of gaining new fancy (I might have enough brass ingots plus other mats still to deep-spam truesilver for easy ranking...maybe).

Are there other professions getting new crafting stuff via new schools release?

Good news is 'Eagle Stronghold' and 'other mistakes' still prevail.

Bad news is I found zero recipe. I am not betraying, so I will leave that to others to advise if they find vendors they can purchase from. But I wandered every city and checked chef, music, blacksmith and nothing new fancy showed.

Tip:

When you come in, go to the bank to the event ambassador and pick up whatever quests there. Turning in one right away nets a bag full of stuff including big bags and boxes for those returning, 5 of 40% cult speed increase pills and some decent food with hour buff and 30 hunger (so you can even gain well fed trait). And then head to Luoyang and look at the loving pretty yellow trees in the evening light.

One final piece for now is Great East was in beggar chat looking for apprentices, so there clearly must be some edge he wants to exacerbate to win Wushu and has returned for it.

Wait let me see if I understood this: I cannot just renew VIP and kidnap to slowly get unbound but I need to do it at some crazy USA hour? I cannot run daily faction quest to get unbound unless I happen to be awake and online at 5am Central European Time (hahah what)?

Am I missing something here about why they would bother to have servers even up during off-USA hours?

True Haq, which might be excellent. Except I was concerned more about static upgrade costs on gear 10/20/40L a pop thing. Or say the cost to buy the reagent to use your gold or jade powder is like 150 unbound right?

I mean no offense but snail is supposed to be running this game for US areas only, with other publishers handling other areas of the world. It does at least mean I have no reason to log on until like 8pm each day.

And I imagine the market will first inflate as people try to wring money out of the kidnapping botters for one last week, then suddenly crash hard as less money is introduced each day.

You understand even in the USA people have different shifts for their work right? The decision does not cater to their USA market either if you push set hours for any unbound to be gathered.

Hoarding is right though. I am amazed that we hoarded vinegars for a whole loving year and in the few days this expansion has been up we've burned thru most of them for quests. So hoarding is good.

As always if you are running instances or whatever and get weird cooking or blacksmith mats send to koop. We hoard that stuff and actually use it within guild.

I have no problems with goon price to you for said invite, because I don't want to leave beggars. Just holler next time you see koop online when you are and we'll make the trade.

That RE was probably the weirdest cut scene yet for me in AoW. If you have ever seen the alternate ending for Coup de Torchon, we are talking that level of weird--even down to being a grainy black and white "dream" sequence of her dancing with her monkey.

Basically this exactly. Akeenai I think uses Mozi on koop and I haven't time to level it yet either--another set would just rot away. 5USD I would throw at it but 30USD (I assume) is a bit pricey to sit and rot. If Snail wants to throw new sets around like candy, they should consider a knee-jerk buy price and then every player buys sets all the time.

Do I just grab 1 guy during kidnap hour and have the normal cooldown?

It could be in the design philosophy to induce people to buy things--monkeying with their perceptions. Throw out a large number, $600 (or $12,000). Now that $30 doesn't seem so large--but if you started with $5, that $30 seems like a lot. Folks do that in mediation for settlements all the time. I remember reading science on it and that this strategy measurably affects even the perceptions of otherwise really savvy people who are aware of the effect.

So what is seen is the $600, and you rationally don't buy. You see lots of people not buy. You rationally wonder wtf snail is thinking. What is not seen are the people who are induced to buy a $30 item--or a $30 item instead of a $10 item--who would not have otherwise. That is I think the real power of the sale.

This kind of monkeying with perceptions is the same way that the funny money tael/gold in the game works--it's the casino-chips-notion that people handle tokens representing money less mindfully than actual money. The game is inundated with that type of sleight of hand; the $600 camel is just an extension of that philosophy.

tldr: If everything was just $5, it's possible that people would be more careful with their $5 than if some things were $600 and some things were $5.

No, it is literally they intentionally cater for the 600 crowd. They even had the interview with Chinese CEO/CFO on the aow forums for a while about the expansions and code work for Chinese version--and one of the questions was about the continuous large ticket items pricing, in which he smugly answered that was the clientel they were developing and delivering towards. This game is entirely designed to deliver a service to a small segment. The remaining population are there to also assist with delivering said service to that segment: cannon fodder, parade gawkers, etc.

Apparently caps in names in same thing as Wushu, you can have character named Koop and koop.
Also the female voice is truly annoying. I really tried to make an old woman, but sadly the closest it allows is some laugh lines (unless I really overlooked something). However I see some male player characters with full white hair and wrinkles!

Most female characters I saw in the 10 minutes played thus far have their eyes set at THE BIGGEST size ever. The default size is already retarded enough, had to scale that back. Some things never change in Jianghu.

Credit actually goes to Whoopy for the whole lemon party thing. He was the one that ascertained planting rather than harvesting rated towards your farmer rank, which resulted in he and I covering the entire Yanjing fields in an hour with crops... and then the servers died from the load.
