Just in case anyone is living in sin: there's no reason to play asscreed if you have not played shadow of mordor yet. That game is asscreed with all the bad stuff removed and some fun stuff added.

The only bad thing about SOM is that the grimdark protagonist with a murdered family isn't needed at all and the game would clearly be better as an orc politics sim but devs are pussies and life sucks. Edit: I suppose there are still niggling asscreed annoyances but they went a loooooong way towards removing them and just making a fun running and killing stuff game.

My favorite is the people who go solo into ranked Doubles on Rocket League and complain about their teammate. I have one saved where it evolved into a critique of Christian values and hypocrisy that got so heated they stopped playing to focus on yelling at eacother in the RL chatbox.

Broforce is fun and dumb. I thought I'd have more fun with galak-z but I'm enjoying "guess which explosion will kill you" starring pixelated action heroes of all kinds more. I like chuck norris' kicks and mcguyvers everything. Haven't really noticed any glitching other than the delay at the start.

Oculus might hold out in a dumb PC gamer-esque hostile/premium niche way out of sheer willpower and weird shill power. Everything else is gonna crash imo. Sony def has the best shot now.

Trackmania feels extremely inspired by Wipeout and I love it. The F1 speed and some tracks really capture it. Its got a good mix of sim and arcade. I especially like how tracks sometimes start as an arcadey "gently caress, how do I finish this" thing and an hour later I was analyzing apexes trying to shave portions of seconds off the same track. I haven't got into gently caress YOUR LEADERBOOOOARD mode harder than the fifth track in the beta, the three laps one in drift mt land, in a long rear end time.

Like some of Franklins assassin missions flirt with a Hitman/Mordor/Dishonored style "get him however you want" kind of gameplay but even then you have to work at it and it never feels like they WANT you to try it differently.

If its the same 5th track as the beta (3 laps on a drift area, large uphill climb after the first drift, hole that shoots you to the finish line) there's no trick, you just need to avoid catching too much air off the hump. I did it by erring right a tad on the hole jump. You can still catch some air but I always had to at least touch the boost area to set it off. Imo catching air at all on that part is loving up your time. I obsessed over that track time in the beta and ended up like 7th in the US.

Other tips: stay as close as possible to the right when doing the boost drift. Trying to hit the apex doesn't seem to help with however the boost is working. Catching air off that middle hill climb can actually hurt your time, because it lessens the amount of time you can accelerate. This tip may not apply if you're getting a really good speed through the hill climb. Focus on maintaining speed and momentum through the non boost drift Exit the hole while moving right and you'll set yourself up great for the start of the next lap. Drift waaaaaaaay loving early if you get a good boost on a non first lap.
