Another tragic example of why anyone permitted to use lethal force should be wearing recording devices. Looting is a shameful behavior but opportunists wouldn't even have get an opening if oversight could improve people's trust in the police.

If Johnson is to be believed there are agitators coming from across the country now, but never mind the right wing media trend in previous weeks working people up about the 'War on Whites' And of course the media has been happy to play up the riots and the convenience store CCTV footage while not bringing police dash/body cams into the conversation.

A camera-equipped gun as standard issue would be even harder to tamper with than a dash or body cam. Covering up the lens would be obvious fuckery.

The NSA hoovers up terabytes of internet traffic everyday. Video records can be managed if the political will is there. Also 90% of the videos can be wiped at the end of each week, the only reason to keep footage would be after an incident has occurred. You prevent tampering with time/date stamps that get synced at the beginning and end of the shift.
