Traditional Catholics are loving awful and I feel confident saying that because I grew up in that movement. I'm currently some hosed up Atheist Catholic with a bunch of other poo poo I've stolen from other spiritual practices and have cobbled together with intellectual duct tape. It's fun. That's not a bad idea in theory. It would cool if religions could have amicable rivalries but it's a VERY SERIOUS ISSUE so instead it's all about "Oooh respect and revere respect and revere" On the other hand LaVeyan Satanism is even stupider as a religion than Scientology. I also used to have it in for the jews, not over anything like that though. I was frankly jealous. I was having my big atheist phase, and most of the jews i've met are pretty cool smart folks, and I've always had a huge thing for jewish girls, but secular judaism just made me so mad because it's a weird subset of white people who don't actually believe in their religion but act like they do, and I just wanted them to stop bullshitting and become atheists! Then i realized that it was my own drat fault for being jealous, being Catholic is just as much of a cultural identity, has just as much of a rich philosophy of art literature and philosophy that can work without theology, so I decided to just embrace my Catholic heritage and nwo I've been having a lot more fun with it and now i'm thankful to the jews for showing me you can still enjoy the cultural history and identity of your religion without even needing a deity! Thanks jewish people!

I actually never realized that Martin Luther was such a snarky bastard. Thanks Kyrie. Still doesn't excuse the reformation.
