I think I would say to my daughters if they were to ask me this question... A shitpost is the greatest gift that you can give someone, the ultimate gift of giving and don't give it to someone lightly, that's what I would say.

Trying to preorder the S2 Alu. online but it doesn't give me the option to pick up at the fruit stand on day one. I was hoping pickup in-store would mean availability in all stores but now I'm not so sure :\

edit: And their shipping estimator says Oct 12 lol

I had the same thing, hoping I can just reserve one to pick up in store the night before.

According to a fruit stand employee, they'll begin allowing in-store reservations tomorrow morning at 8am. So I guess you can order online for in-store pickup, pending availability.

They've just done that here in Australia. Every Apple Store in the country is listing the watch as unavailable for pickup.

I'm no longer in any way convinced that the online watch stock thing on Apple's site is remotely accurate.

Zero stock of S2 Aluminum for four days in any Ontario stores? There are people buying watches. I doubt they're all stainless. I'm just going to go line up at 8am tomorrow and hope they have a watch for me to buy. I even gave up on hoping for a pearl nylon band because I'm going to replace it with leather anyway so I don't really care.

Changed my order on the online store to a white sport bad for same reason, and it ships 3-5wks vs 5-7wks so worst case if I can't pick one up in store at least I should (???) get it sooner.

I'm putting an awful lot of energy and thought into something I said I wasn't going to.

Also try calling your store. Mine was out of the S2 I wanted, but that wound up being because I wanted the nylon strap and they did have a couple with the sport.

Is activity sharing not working for anyone else? My partner can share with a work colleague but with me the invitation just stays pending with the spiny circle forever.

Is anyone else having trouble with Activity Sharing? It just hangs on the accept friend request prompt whenever I try and share with my girlfriend. Internet search isn't giving me anything.

Cool music playback trick I've realized, Now Playing can control Spotify playback (and presumably anything else your iPhone can play.)

Not quite as handy as the Music complication, but better than nothing I guess. Quicker than picking up the iPhone, since the iOS Spotify app doesn't provide lock screen controls.

It also does podcasts, including the 15 second time skip buttons. Great for quickly skipping past ads.

Now Playing is really useful. Messages and FB messenger are both decent, and I'm giving the activity app a solid go. In Australia, NextThere is a great public transport app with a complication to tell you when your next train or bus will depart. I also love having Siri on my wrist for setting timers.

Don't get me wrong, most people should buy third party bands... but that logic makes absolutely no sense. People are so weird about economics.

It's one of many things that makes me feel better buddy. I would have been a bit cut if I'd bought a pricy band last year and it got a stealth update though.

Siri (via "Hey Siri") launches pretty quickly on S2, but the slowest compared to iPhones, from what I remember as far back as iPhone 6. Around a second or less. Interpreting your speech is the same deal, but actually processing your request is a total gamble. For example, asking her to do something exclusively on the watch (e.g. "set a timer for 10 minutes") is just fine, but invoking your phone in any way could cause delays/failure. The last time I earnestly tried using Siri on the watch was trying to call someone while driving with my phone tucked away in a bag, and it failed after like 20 seconds.

I use watch Siri pretty much exclusively for cooking timers and maths.
