So when it's okay to be a lady-boy or a boy-lady in the Nav can a male say his hair identifies gender-wise as a female and thusly be permitted to grow it long?
If you want to end up in Everett for some reason, Edmonds or Mukilteo would be cool. Whidbey is nice no matter where you go. Indian Island is next to Port Townsend which is nice. Am I missing anything? Anyway -- traffic on the Kitsap side is, indeed, not a big deal. If you have to spend any time on I5 in Seattle or I90 in Seattle ... well, you're going to regret it. Commuting via ferry isn't bad. When I was still in the CG I rode to Seattle every day, and back. Bangor or Keyport are the bases to be at. I guess NAS Whidbey is probably alright though. Everything else sucks.
Avoid Marysville, it sucks but seems popular for many stationed in Everett. Avoid South Everett and Lynnwood. Mill Creek ain't bad. Lake Steven is suburb-ey but okay too. If you end up on Whidbey, Anacortes is a great place to live, gets you away from so many sailors, and is like 25 minutes from the NAS.

MancXVI posted:edit: forgot geography Mukilteo is pretty sweet if you end up at NAVSTA Everett. Not much going on but convenient, relatively quiet, and a hop and a skip to Seattle. It's bikeable to NAVSTA too. I'd recommend staying at the BEQ/Nav Lodge and really checking places out for a good two weeks. Oh, MT Vernon has a certain charm to it. Reminds me of old eastern canal towns. It's about 30 minutes north of Everett and traffic is always light. Edit added: If you end up at NASWI or Everett and need any info/specifics, you can PM me. I live on Whidbey now, as a civilian mariner(for the Army of all things) but work outta town. Dingleberry fucked around with this message at 17:30 on Apr 10, 2015 |
