It takes about 30 or so hours to get to level 25, plenty of time to develop the skills needed for any one class and parrying is one of the core abilities of the 'zerker (see also: level 25 medics who haven't learned to heal teammates or focus on their 'zerker when a big guy shows up), mistakes happen while playing, but given how easy it is to cheat perk levels in KF2 it is very blatant when a level 25 player joins a Hard game and proceeds to play terribly.

I hope taking the perk breaks your arms and you have to use weapons with a sling. Sort of a handcap mode for people who think HoE is too difficult.

I know this is old talk, but I was trying to get into Demolitionist again and I still loathe the grenade pistol. It really is a single-shot shotgun with no penetration and the only advantage it has is the ability to crown sirens if they're not screaming (still not level 15, which might be a gamechanger). Sure, you can position yourself to hit like three zeds, but you can also take three zeds down with the pump shotgun without spending as much time maneuvering, which is something you often don't really have the luxury of. I've spent more time being a second-rate gunslinger with the Dualies for Demolitionist XP than actually using the starting weapon. Should I play Firebug to get enough dosh to buy the RPG and then switch perks so I can feel like an useful Demo?

Patty lost all his hair, KF3 will feature hairball monsters as a result of the Patriarch's on-going struggle against baldness. Interesting that they mention 6 new weapons instead of only the Gunslinger's new ones. I wonder if they're counting his grenade and knife or if we're getting sneak-peeks at Gunslinger/SWAT.

If they are maintaining some standards from KF1 it is likely the Patriarch will be vulnerable to explosive, so between having the abiltiy of taking rockets to the face and dishing out damage I can see Demolitionist being a decent gamble for the boss stage. I fully expect to always roll Hans when going Demo, though. It is not exactly something new, KF1 Patty could instakill players with the rocket launcher, but there was an obvious tell that he was going to do that and it was easily avoidable by seeking cover, so that factored in when picking a place to engage him. Not sure how that will be affected by the mortar attack mentioned.

I get the impression that the Medic nerfs (as well as the Smash nerf on the Zerk) are more a reaction to the fact that based on Tripwire's metrics people consistently take those skills over the alternative. Though in an ideal world it would have been better to make the alternate options more appealing. On that note, I play a lot of Medic, and I am personally not sure that will ruin the class, the armor gain always felt slightly broken - specially once you got the assault rifle -, so I'd reserve judgement to after I've had a chance to play the update. And SWAT better make ample use of that "Electric Weapons" tab.

Gunslinger is hella fun, all the guns sound and feel awesome. Also the Patty boss fight is really fun due to continuous stream of zeds and the variety of attacks, I missed the bastard and I am glad at least he kept his reading glasses. You can just fire Hans now. The Black Forest map is also very good and I was surprised by the amount of custom lines characters have in response to parts of it, also by the small trees being knocked down by gunfire/raging fleshpounds. My only caveat is that sometimes it is not clear where you can jump off from due to invisible walls and that can cause you to get cornered. Still have to try out Farm V2, but so far this feels like a drat cool update. LuciferMorningstar posted:

I believe TWI mentioned Farmhouse was originally a map they made for internal use to test stuff and it shows. It is probably the weakest map in the game and it is pretty small, also very easy to defend in in front of the house, with wide open spaces and even convenient cover against the bosses. I can see it being voted a lot by people looking for low effort victories.

From my experience Gunslinger is a pretty solid class, specially at removing specialist zeds and using mobility to survive against swarms, the .500 is specially hilarious, I am still level 4 and I managed to kill four clots with a single shot, it is also pretty decent against Scrakes. Fleshpounds with their bullet resistance are pretty much the only thing the GS can't deal with reliably, with the caveat that I've only played the class on hard so far.

As someone who suffers from mostly terrible aim I can't really say that the Gunslinger is overpowered. Its most overpowered aspect is having a skill that greatly rewards being a good player and people who can reliably maintain headshots for Rack 'Em Up are probably beasts when playing the Commando as well and will wipe the floor when Sharpshooter arrives next year, so I don't really see the problem.
