You have a better chance of being hit and killed by a car than actually catching MERS.

It turns out that I am accidentally overstaying my tourist visa whilst here (90 days) by a few days. Would I have any trouble by doing a visa run to Japan for a few days and nights and then return for about 30 days or so until I leave again?

Love Stole the Day posted:You'll be in trouble because of this, unless the extra days were over a weekend or something. Probably you'll get told to go visit the side office and then the Immigration Officers will ask you some questions about it and check to make sure you're not a criminal or anything. From there, I don't know what will happen. It could be anywhere from "okay goodbye" to "you'll have to sit in a jail cell for a few days while we figure out what to do with you" depending on the circumstances. Yes, but with what I know, they will stamp the passport saying that I had left before the 90 days are up. Then re-stamp the passport with some new date that I must leave by when I return. Otherwise yes, I'll probably need to pay a fine or sit in a jail cell.

I made a post a few pages about a visa-run to Japan. Anyway, I'm back here with another 90 days added to the passport.

DontAskKant posted:I'm assuming that was a tourist visa run? Yes, a tourist visa run. The only trouble I had was coming back to Korea from Japan where at the airport the person behind the counter demanded to see a receipt that I am returning to Australia. Other than that no issues in Korea. Edit: I also stayed in Japan for a few days. Raphisonfire fucked around with this message at 07:59 on Sep 2, 2015 |

I liked The party at Haeundae in Busan. Ashley's was okay for a cheap price. You could always go to Jungsik (정식당) if you just want to spend some money.

What are you guys working as, if you don't mind sharing? The closest thing I got to a job outside of ESL was working as a trader for an investment banking firm in Busan. The only catch was the visa (I was on a tourist one)

lostleaf posted:Any goon recommendation for busan Korean food? The goon guide doesn't have any places listed in Busan. Some busan korean food that I had there was mil-myeon (밀면) in Nampo dong, Dwaeji gukbap (돼지국밥, it can be found every where), and Dongnae Pajeon (동래파전). For Western food, You will find that the more trendy and new places are in Seomyun. The touristy places are in the Gwangalli + Haeundae + Centum City area. The non-touristy places are in Nampo-dong.
