Okay so I just have to ask to because I am paranoid. I am level 14 or so, I am running around Novigrad doing mainquest stuff there because I had read that you could get some great Gwent cards from Zoltan eventually. I wanted to do that before heading to Skillige. However, there are a lot of successive quests trying to free Dandelion. I just met Roche and am about to go kill Whoreson Junior. I forgot to meet up with Cleaver for the "Gangs of Novigrad" quest because I didnt see it in the dozen+ sidequests I have, and now that I talked to Radovid and got Whoreson's location, the quest to meet up with Cleaver failed. If I continue to do this mainquest stuff before heading to Skellige is there anything else major I am going to gently caress up? I know you can go to Skellige at any time but now I keep getting this "well I shouldnt leave this quest to save Dendelion dangling because I know that once I get to Skellige I'll be there for a while" feeling.Mordiceius posted:Dijkstra has some pretty loving great writing. Notes and books should be added to the glossary once you read them. I love this game to death (best RPG I have ever played) but good god the missions you get where you need to "read the note/letter/book you found" is really really obtuse to me. These books/notes/letters should be saved to a glossary so you can discard the poo poo from your overburdened inventory. What about the notes on the plague from the rattower? Can I toss 'em or could I give them back to Keira later? There should be a chest you can store stuff you do not want to carry around. Yeah I really like how the game abstracts Geralt using saddlebags, but I have 150 Dwarven Spirit, 150 Alcholest, 200 Waters (that all weigh next to nothing) and innumerable crafting/alchemy components/ingredients, a Nilfgaardian Doublet, and a billion mutagens that I do not want to carry around on me - I should be able to drop them in a loving chest. And yes I know I can drop them on the ground and come back later but that just seems blech to me. edit: also, when shopping, if you mouse over an item you already own, it should light up in your own inventory so you can see how many you have. I like to stay topped up on the rare alchemical ingredients and crafting materials but it is such a headache to search through all of my crafting poo poo to find if what I think I may be low on is actually low, especially because all alchemy and crafting stuff goes in the same tab. Sorry for the rant. I really love the game but the inventory is driving me nuts. AAAAA! Real Muenster fucked around with this message at 16:56 on Jun 2, 2015 |

Jeffrey of YOSPOS posted:A chest would make it even worse because now you also have to tediously think about "what should I put in the chest?", in addition to the already existing and tedious questions, "what should I drop?" and "what should I sell?". Selling items should just be removed entirely, then there's no reason to pick up junk, and there should be a potion and bomb tab, and no weight limit. That would probably be enough. Is it just me or is it really hard to find Red (non-moster) mutagens? I'm level 16 and have most of Velen's ?s cleared out and I have a million blue and green mutagens but have only found a whopping three lesser red mutagens.CJacobs posted:I've got to say I am a little bit annoyed that the Velen main quest chain, given by Yennefer, leads you only to information you already knew that was given to you by Yennefer in the first place. In like your first conversation with her before she departs, she says that she speculates Ciri was headed to Novigrad or Skellige. Then she goes to Skellige to make sure she's not in Skellige. So you hang around in Velen and spend like 30 hours of gameplay doing dual main quest chains there only to find out: Yep, Ciri went to Novigrad. Now go to Novigrad, where Yennefer already told Ciri was going. Because only now does Geralt know she was going there, and not before when Yennefer told him she was.

Voyager I posted:Nilfgaard can run with 5 medics, 4 spies, and a leader ability that lets them play one of their own spies from the enemy graveyard that nobody else has an equivalent to. Barring a disastrously bad hand, they're going to have card advantage over anybody, often by a hilarious factor. From what I've seen of their deck they can't ordinarily get the same huge numbers as Monsters or Northern Realms on a round where they try to go big, but instead they can play the same strength 10 Black Archers / Heavy Fire Scorpion every single round to constantly force resources out of their opponents while totally controlling the pace of the game by having twice as many cards in hand.

Your spies, unfortunately, are all random drops, and the ridiculously good Emperor ability that really sets Nilfgaard above Northern Realms is a reward for beating an opponent in the Gwent tournament. It takes some work getting proper Nilfgaard deck running.

I was really hoping that when they stated the game would so incredibly long (which I am very happy about; it is a great game) that it would mean I would get to use great late-tier skills, items, and whatnot (that in other games you unlock and then beat the game 30 minutes later) for more than a tiny% of the game. But if I see people saying they only hit about level 30, and my level 23 Geralt cant even dent the health bar on a Venomous Arachas just to make the enhanced (not superior) version of a basic witcher potion, I'm a little disappointed.
