E: gently caress, thanks mobile app for making me respond to something a full page back

Also, opening/closing doors and building/deconstructing in a pressurized environment will both empty the room of oxygen, causing you to take damage.

I'd offer the server I host but I tend to enjoy playing by myself with few mods. :kiddo: I think there's plenty to do in survival, going on mining runs and building bigger and bigger ships, expanding your base, diversifying your fleet, etc. It's buggy as hell but still comfy, in a way. I've never felt like I was out of things do to and I must have put tens of hours into it. But then, I started playing with survival multiplayer so I'm not used to creative, I guess.

Did you engage the landing gears? Landing on the planet's surface is also notoriously buggy, best to use the steel you start with to build a landing platform with. If the engines were really off it would probably have smashed itself to bits on the earth.

The SE devs are really something else. Who hard codes a keybind like this in this day and age? Nope, no way to change it, so if one binds inventory to B, one is poo poo outta luck.

Edit: Turns out i'm an idiot, it can be changed in systems 3. Doesn't seem to do anything tho. I'm trying to place a station block on this asteroid aligned to the cleared area (aka the ship extension in this image) but it keeps snapping to the 'asteroid coord plane'. Ugh.

What the gently caress, the devs don't even know which of their keybinds are hardcoded?

How do I bypass this nonsense? I am not updating to the latest version since (1) I've heard they cause java apps (minecraft etc) to crash, and (2) my philosophy regarding gpu drivers is: don't update if the current ones are working fine for 99% of my games, since I've had problems in the past doing random driver updates.

e. Ok, nvm. It appears the nonsense can be bypassed by either clicking cancel or the X. Why it closes the game when I click OK is beyond me.

VVVV Uh, 368.69

Please keep your drivers updated.

You can't move asteroids, they're fixed objects like planets. You'll have to relocate your setup to another asteroid.

That's too bad, because throwing thrusters on an asteroid and making it a ship is a pretty dope idea

Space Engineers is not a game in which wheels were ever destined to be good because it handles collisions so poorly. Small ships are made out of goddamn tissue paper when it comes to bumping into terrain. So much time wasted on construction projects that blew into pieces at the slightest nudge. Damage simply does not scale well with speed at all.

Had to rebuild my racing carrier's engine pods as they just weren't coping once it actually had its interior filled out.

They also look a lot less poo poo, even if they don't have the repair strips anymore. The prongs hanging off the front and back are to give it a bit of external docking for more of a cruise/party boat vibe. The green pads on top, incidentally, are for small subcraft for a general private/VIP guest look.

These are great design choices, all except for, checkerboard? Seriously?
