There is plenty of Paradox DLC with good reviews on steam though.

I mean I don't really mind, if only because Sci-Fi is chock full of these types of things. It does make one think what a EUIV, CKII or HOIIV full bore would be, if it had the same leeway you get with Sci-Fi. Granted EUIV really has a ton of stuff too, but Stellaris has well lots of Space Hitler options.

I mean, CK2 still lets you castrate infants and steal wives so it's really there in all their games and I don't see it as a huge issue.

Making Rome 2 a VR game is a bold move but I have faith in Paradox.

They should make a WW3 expansion(NOT DLC) for hoi4.

Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday was kinda neat so I would support that.

One thing I remember really liking was how troops assigned to a general would become loyal to that general and in the case of a civil war or revolt, the armies would gain a whole new tag and a chunk of your territory to build new forces, so you weren't just fighting some abstract rebel faction.

Yeah, Civil Wars in EU: Rome were super neat.

You can already see physical features being inherited in CK2, the dreaded double chin for example which will stick with your family for generations.

I wouldn't use Civ or Total War as examples of agents done right. I think Wiz is entirely right on that point.

I was tempted by the "royal edition" or what ever when I saw it came with an expansion pass for the first 3 expansions - but reading further that actually means 2 "flavour" dlcs and one actual expansion which feels a little bit misleading.

No idea what flavour dlc will mean for this game, probably new sets of clothes and coats of arms or something. Not really something that should be bundled together with actual expansion content in their promotion email.

Glad the release date is so soon though, looking forward to playing it for a few weeks before cyberpunk comes out :v:

As far as I understand a flavor pack would be on the level of legacy of rome or so, not just graphical stuff.

YMMV whether that's worth it or not.
