Oh Body Expertise won't just explode dozers (it will give a 4x multiplier instead of 17x), that's kind of nice.

Ammo Pickup is getting nerfed across the board but no longer will special shotgun ammos get penalized.

Unsurprisingly they don't understand dodge. There's disagreement over whether or not Low Blow should be in Commando. "You're trying to create a Dungeons & Dragons Rogue." I can't tell the voices apart but one guy wants Low Blow to go into Silencers.

Grindr and muscles are getting nerfs (grindr will get health back at a slower rate; they're not sure about muscle, perhaps make it so that it doesn't heal when suppressed which is dumb imho, I'd rather exactly the opposite)

Unseen Strike and Low Blow would stack multiplicatively rather than additively? Unseen Strike is intended for sniper builds.

Deagles are going to get nerfed.

Dance instructor will be <15, possibly but not likely % based.

Feign Death's 75% of going back up is going to get nerfed, they think it's OP (I think it competes with Swan Song, which is the real challenge for it).

Messiah might have a prompt for if you want to go up when you get a kill (like hit jump). The smart sounding guy thinks that would be too complicated and would prefer that it only triggers on secondary kills. Messiah might recharge on 3 downs rather than on medbag use to curtail huffing.

Nine Lives is tier 2.

Berserker will be tier 3.

Frenzy will lead to a slight EHP drop? I didn't understand this entirely.

They intend to make melee have more features (i.e. less just pure dps).

PSA about JoaT via reddit: you can use "x" to switch between the deployables. No this isn't documented, it's not even under keybinds. Yes "JoaT" is infuriatingly close to "Jort" as an acronym.

Yeah you can only spend 119 skill points for whatever rear end backwards reason.

The only thing that's REALLY getting me is that I can't use mousewheel to scroll between skill loadouts, I have to go into the skill screen and hit 's.' That and I can't rename skill sets.

Oh also them using the same placeholder icon for like all skills. And for some reason "Oppressor" in Armorer 1)uses the Oppressor icon stead of the Stun Resistance shades and 2)is called Oppressor same as the goddamn tree for gently caress's sake why it doesn't even have anything to do with suppression anymore.

I disagree about pistols, the skills are pretty much entirely optional. The Stryc, Deagles, and revolvers remain great weapons.

At this stage, I'd say: Pick a weapon type, and take most of that tree (Sharpshooter for single shot weapons, Oppressor for automatics, Gunslinger for pistols, Shotgunner for shotguns). Pick a deployable (Medic for first aid kits/doctor bags, Ammo Specialist for ammo bags, Engineer for turrets, Breacher for mines, Covert Ops for ECMs), and take most of that tree. Spread the remaining points around whatever sounds interesting.

I'd say it's good newbie advice to pick one of Sneaky Bastard or Iron Man and pick that one up as a high priority.

For short heists with high-danger extractions like FF2 and FS2 where you have to cross streets under fire or any other situation where there's a predictable <5min window where wipes are most likely (dockbomb comes to mind), ECMs are honestly my favorite deployable. The worst part of them is that you need to invest in the decidedly lovely Covert Ops tree.

Trigger Happy is extremely useful for doing loadsa damage. If you're sticking to Overkill and below, it's probably not necessary, but for anything higher it keeps the shots per cop low enough to mostly stay ammo-positive. And, you'll melt specials!

Am I crazy or are 3 points leftover?

OK I haven't really played since Sydney came out and I'm coming back so here's my impressions, mostly of Mayhem, just jumping in:

Medics: cool and good. Require some finesse to deal with compared to shields, which is the main comparable special

Breaker shotgun: rules

General new rifle meta: Ehhh. DMRs are better than ever, comparably speaking, but I don't like that they put in all this effort to have a viable mid-accuracy bullethose grouping of weapons and then tossed it out the window.

Anarchist: Probably too good

Dozers: The real victim here. They don't feel interesting or dangerous, just really annoying. I feel like I'm being DPS-checked in WoW whenever they show up, it really takes me out of the action. Though I guess DV got his wish: the RPG is now garbage.

So this is the build I'm currently using for Mayhem. The thing that I'm concerned about is the Brawler tree. I can't think of any skills that really improve grenade launchers other than Bloodthirst, so that feels like a good option, but Frenzerking feels pretty marginal. Would I be better off moving those points to Revenant or even Controller?

Unfortunately, as Psion has pointed out, you don't have skills to help the Minigun, and I'm not sure going up to only basic Frenzy is worth it.

What should I move around to get body expertise? It's more of a support build so I don't like the idea of giving up Inspire. I guess I could move points from ammo spec? Does the flamethrower benefit from body expertise?
