Sure, but the SAAF is basically War Crimes Inc. and I can't imagine they're putting random conscripts in the pilot's seat. Anyone who had any misgivings about indiscriminately bombing/gassing civilians would have defected years ago. Anyone still flying for Syria is almost certainly a well trusted, loyal officer who knows exactly what they're doing. Yeah they probably don't plan their own missions but by now every one of their pilots has to have carried out MANY purposeful attacks on civilians.

I seem to remember more than a few SAAF defecting at the start of the conflict. It made the news a couple of times. Dudes left on a mission, said nope, and landed in Jordan or something.
