That makes little sense as carbon fibre is about half the price of the 3D printing material. Probably a case of they were that lacking in man power they just didn't have the time needed to build the missing carbon fibre parts, while 3D printing it is a lot quicker.

McLaren were posting speed trap figures only a couple of kph off Hamilton's which given even in the last test week they were still 15+ kph off shows they have not just made massive improvement, but they could seriously be fighting for the top of F1 Category 2 (everyone but Merc). Still at least 1 second off joining Category 1 though, but then again so is every other team - especially given how strong Hamilton was in the practice sessions; this season does have already signs of being even more 1 sided than the previous 2. All unknown though until qualifying tomorrow, and many times Aussie practice sessions have been little help in showing how the qualifying actually plays out.

So other than the new qualifying system being a pile of poo poo, what have we learn't. Mercedes are 2016 WCC and WDC McLaren have now caught up with most of the teams, and given they have 2 of the best drivers on the grid they should get a few podiums Palmer is good Wehrlein is bad Might be a good season - if you pay no attention to the 1 & 2 spots as they are going to be the same every god drat race, except when they crash each other out etc.

Bernie has realised for years his cash cow is in jeopardy, but its his own fault for agreeing to the stupid Ferrari veto - ever since that decision the sport has been getting worse.

You don't have to be a member of the same household to have Sky go, they just see it as someone using up one of their two passes. First year is usually half price or £10, and after that you can cancel it and find new friend to do it. Except Sky Go is often worse than watching a pirate stream, as its often a minute+ delayed and due to it running on Silvershit has massive buffering issues. Tried many a time to use it for races, and every time have gone over to other means as its just so poo poo. Seriously why the hell haven't they already moved away from Silverlight, when a technology is so bad that even Microsoft abandons it (now for almost a year) you really should jump ship ASAP. Bernie's thinking is simple as its ARGH!!! PANIC driven due to Mercedes are competing again for the WDC on their own. So he is trying to get some way to force the Merc's to start down the grid so that they will at least have to overtake a few cars for the first few laps of the race. Its a stupid idea all caused due to the stupid rules, which he has allowed as under the current way the rules are defined he has little say as Ferrari just Veto's anything which could hurt them. The thing is Ferrari might not veto these stupid ideas as it could mean they win a race or 2, that's assuming Vettel has remembered how to stop people overtaking him. So if he can convince a few teams, including Ferrari, to his silly plan he might actually get it.
