I don't get the love for Hubie Brown. He's horrible - everything he says is obvious and meaningless. "Ok, look, look right here, he dribbles left and then, see, he goes up and, right here, he shoots the ball, you see, that's how you do it...." Horrible. Also surprised that there has been no mention of Bob Fitzgerald in the bad announcer discussion. The Warriors have a great geriatric color guy in Jim Barnett who actually teaches you things. Fitzgerald the Fat Hobbit is the play by play guy, and he sucks. Not only is a homer but is the worst kind of homer because he's boring. And whenever the camera cuts to him it looks like he's about to pass out because the collar on his shirt is two inches too small for his fat neck. And you wish he would pass out but sadly he never does.

You land in Denver at like 4 am, and the Denver airport is like 40 miles from downtown. Between stuff like that and the massive altitude advantage, it's amazing to me that Denver doesn't go 38-3 at home every year.

Talk to the professor after class and ask if you can be added to the class even though it is full. He or she will probably try to blow you off at first, but say that if necessary, you are willing to attend class and do the work until someone else drops out to make room for you. If you are persistent (and polite) the professor is likely to give in. I know several people who have done this at various colleges (including me - but that was a long time ago).

Harden is the best player in the league outside of the ridiculous outlier King Lebron James. But Russ is everything for OKC, and the only reason that they are 6 games over .500.

The "issue" is that with 5 guys on the court and 100 possessions for the sake of this argument, the best players come out ahead because it increases the sample size by so much more than Barry Bonds getting 5 at bats. Random chance doesn't the make the NFL or MLB a better or worse league, just more random *Imagines if 2004 Barry Bonds got to take every at-bat for a game* "Aaaand at the 7th inning stretch it's the Giants 67, the Dodgers 2. I don't understand the Rockets OR the Raptors. How does either of them win so much? I thought I understood basketball. I understand the different reasons why other good teams win. The Warriors have great passers on offense and contest every shot on defense, the Cavs have Lebron and all those shooters and rebounders, the Celtics roll you with depth and perimeter defense, if the Grizzlies can force you to play their old school style, they will beat you, etc. I look at the roster for the Rockets and Raptors and even acknowledging the incredible talents of Harden and Low/rozen I don't see how either works to create a team that good. edit - I read everyone's subsequent posts explaining the Rockets' success and I still don't see it.
