With timeframes required for interstellar travel and possible relativistic effects, 28 years might not mean much. I have no idea if Aliens universe has some form of FTL travel and how that would affect things.

Buying monster hardware to streaming shills is a comparatively cheap way to project an illusion of relatively smooth gameplay to the masses.

I would not be at all surprised if popular streaming accounts would be flagged with a tag enabling them to play on "streamer only" server with low population. Watching at some goon streams during the free flight weekend it looked like it is hard to even get from the bed to the spaceship without crashing for regular people.
