There really isn't much argument that those are the two best exclusives. If one is more accessible then more people would enjoy it hence, the better game.

It all started because I said Uncharted is the best exclusive on the PS4 because it is more accessible to a general audience. I didn't even say BB was a bad game. I said they were the two best games, but one was better because more people would like it. Souls fans are very strange and protective.

Could you explain how the boss fights are different between BB and the rest of the souls games?

I know the trash mobs are different in that you want to be aggressive rather than slow and deliberate. But the boss fights? Aren't those pretty much the same?

In terms of the controls. Are the games all pretty much the same? Or is there something different in BB? Same basic control scheme, right? Just a different strategy?

Since you are an expert, please explain to me how these games are all so different.

Not trying to be an rear end (this time) but I genuinely want to know what is so different. If I were to go down a list of checkboxes, I check almost everything the same in each except the one for how to deal with trash mobs. And I guess setting, but the setting still feels the same as the other games.

It's pretty funny to me that people were like "What if you made a game that was as nuanced and in-depth as Dark Souls but you, like, explain how to play it, kinda..." and that's enough for everyone to be like "Oh yeah this is really cool" instead of just getting ruthlessly slaughtered an infinite number of times because you literally have no idea what anything is or means or why you have to do anything.

I'm seeing people say they get hundreds of deaths in a single region, and I'm over here knowing Souls games are difficult but I haven't had that many deaths across those four games combined, probably.

Nioh has a much deeper combat system, mechanically. Which isn't better or worse, but it's different.

Compared to Nioh, Bloodborne is very clean, mechanically. It has more weapons, but fewer different stats and abilities. It has 1 type of parry. Nioh has like, I don't eve know how many different parry moves. At least 6. The stance system and different combo finishers means that each weapons moveset is like 4 times the moveset of a Bloodborne weapon.

So some people are going to like that more, and some people are going to like it less. But it's just a matter of preference.

Maybe Im bad but it becomes tedious breaking out of stunlocks and breaking away from a group to get a few hits in before they surround you. I wish this game had the balls to make fights few and far between, interacting with the world is where the fun is. The fights are filler. The only other game I'm looking at right now is Dragon Quest Builders, which so far looks like Dragon Quest mixed with Minecraft. I've played Minecraft (although it's been a few years now since I last played it), but I've never played a Dragon Quest game before.

Uh. Bayonetta 2 was the only well received game they have made this gen. Transformers was garbage and the rest of the licensed stuff looks even worse. I guess a game being licensed doesn't count in the goon mind for some reason though.

Imo unless the (admittedly cool) gimmick is a game changer for you, there will be no better time to buy a Wii U than in the upcoming months. Theres years worth of games to play. Which is like a dozen games in Nintendo years but there are still quite a few and there should be a surplus of cheap Wii U's.
