CR's on Wii U which is what I use. Switch has nothing in terms of streaming options yet.

It'll come eventually I'd imagine given CR's focus on consoles as streaming apparatuses.

Sagrada Reset is nominally interesting so far. It's no Hyouka or Kokoro Connect or anything like that, but it might be passable. It'd help if the main characters weren't generic MC and emotionally dead girl.

Sakura Quest in part feels like PA's attempt to capitalize on the success of Shirobako, but the first episode didn't sell itself nearly as well as Shirobako's excellent opener. I don't think it was bad by any means, but it didn't interest me much. I'll watch a little more to see what they do with it.

Sakura Quest still seems like a lot of fun. It definitely another love letter type of series, I think and it looks like it harkens back to a time in Japan (the 80s or 90s?) that might connect more with Japanese viewers. I don't think the US had as much of a thing like that since those sorts of tourist traps weren't usually tied to specific towns.

I like the OP a lot too.

Well A. The town isn't dependent on the Mystery Shack like the way this tourist attraction was, and many of the types of attraction that were in their heyday in the US were during the 50s and 60s during the time of suburban expansion and the popularization of the "Road Trip." With those types in Japan, they seem more like places one would go to day trips on or something for the weekend. With the American version, they usually encountered, not as a final destination, but as an interesting pit stop on the way to something more interesting like Ol' Faithful or the Grand Canyon or Disneyland.

Both of them also have M.A.O, I believe as a VA (though I only say her name in the PV fro Twin Angel)

Fight scene was good and it was funny enough, so I'll probably stick with it.

Judging by the OP/ED, it doesn't look like it's going to the more weird and borderline H parts of it (it's been a while since I've read the beginning though). At the most, I think it'll go down like a fairly standard Shonen Battle series rather than what the manga is (the same thing but with more porn).

Eromanga-sensei seems okay too. Nothing too outrageous too judging from comments from 4chan. If you liked Oreimo, it seems like it might be more of the same (which makes sense for obvious reasons).

Eromanga-sensei is gonna end with the brother and sister boning isn't it?

Based on spoilers from the 8th volume: Yes. If it feels familiar, it's very much because it's from the author of OreImo so a number of things get reused.

I'd never heard of Orelmo. But the shots lingering on the sister and the way the brother doesn't get fed up with this bratty sister of his demanding food and literally never leaving her room for a year despite him waiting on her every need just creep me out.

Well part of the backdrop of this series is that their parents both died a year before and triggered her becoming a Hikki which is at least, ostensibly, some sort of excuse to just let things be.

OneDeadman posted:

I think it's even worse in oreimo because the dude drops a girlfriend for sister boning

There's technically no boning (there's the possibility of implied boning) as the ending also has them coming to a mutual understanding with their feelings and having a mutual breakup once Kyosuke graduates (iirc).

With Eromanga-sensei, there's nothing so objectionable as being blood related to interfere with their incest.

Fukumenkei Noose: I didn't know how much I wanted this. Cool music, I like that they're actually going with out-of-tune singing which really helps underline the "raw" feel they're clearly going for.

Still badly behind on lots of the things I'm looking forward to checking...

I thought the Sankarea anime felt like a good setup for things, albeit drawn out, but supposedly the original manga goes to poo poo shortly after or something.

Sankarea goes into a really weird direction complete with a secret zombie laboratory on a remote tropical island and more incest undertones and an ending that throws out all of the tension it creates. If it stayed as a rom-com with zombies, it'd be nice, but nope.

The anime with the incredibly long name that people seem to be shortening to Sukasuka is off to a very strong start. We'll see if it holds up, but I can't really name anything in particular that the first ep didn't do well. Definitely keeping it on the queue for now.

It's official short name is also Sukasuka since that's what the website uses for its url (https://www.sukasuka-anime.com). It definitely has a lot of hooks to it so I'm very interested to see where it goes. Like how in the gently caress is a flashback to 526 years ago relevant to the present or than a small scene to poke fun of death flags.

The drama with tsugumomo was because it becomes really hosed up in the later chapters, pretty much everyone agreed the start was just kind of a well-illustrated action manga

It's basically this. It's a pretty bog standard battle shonen with a single protagonist and a half dozen people of the opposite gender who want him intimately.

Apparently it was a rumor that got attention from a Japanese Blog.

It honestly didn't make any sense, but the Manga was ending, seemingly prematurely.

It's easy to tell if an ending is premature due to what plot threads are dangling and how much is left before cancellation. When Bleach had it's cancellation announcement, it was pretty clear that Kubo was dragging his feet due to all of the poo poo that was still happening in the series and how much time was left.

It's a shame he's ending it due to lack of assistants and pushed himself too hard. Current translations are based on the tanks and they're already up to the latest one. There's purportedly going to be 18 volumes so there's probably going to be enough for an S2, but not much else and I'm sure for a series that's run that long, if he wants to return with a sequel series or spin-off, they'll let him.
