The Simpsons conversation made me go and actually check episode lists to see where the show lost me and I distinctly remember the lame Tony Hawk episode which was apparently in season 14. I also scanned the other episodes in that season and like half of them have really lame celebrity cameos in them.

The other joke with this guy though is that he's a Dracula reference (he had all the staple moves as his Castlevania counterpart) but he was naked under his cape and when he opened it to shoot fireballs his junk was covered by a mosaic filter. That was pretty funny.

We learn in Yoshi's Island that it is the Yoshis that trap other creatures into eggs. The true question is, who is the rogue Yoshi that was working for Bowser in Super Mario World, and how long will he keep getting away with it?!

And then the tank would go into a dock and split into a space ship and go on adventures to find the gi joes and other randomly mishmashed toys that I had.

please note i am not complaining that the "sprites are too big" in the sense that they look bad or anything just that they took up too much space to the relative size of the screen, which wouldn't have been a problem on the snes because the snes had a standard definition 640x480 to work with. i looked it up and the GBA's screen was 240 pixels by 160 pixels. that's not a lot of room to work with guys

It really sucks because it reuses the same respawning enemies style of the older games but because the "off screen" box is smaller enemies respawn faster than a Ninja Gaiden game and you can't be constantly dashing without running into things offscreen because your dash is as long or longer than the size of a GBA screen.

I thought I'd heard that star ocean 5 was good, especially compared to 3 and 4. Did I hear wrong?

Also, this outfit will always make me laugh because lmao at how blatantly fanservice it is.

It's okay but not remarkable, and is insanely budget (it's like an hour before there's a directed cutscene), but 4 is insanely bad so "good compared to 4" means absolutely nothing.

But I also got distracted by games that weren't just "okay" and haven't gone back to beat it so I didn't make it to the actual complaints of that game (one of which being too many escort battles and not being able to skip cutscenes before hard fights in 2016).

Like to understand Star Ocean 5's budget understand that at one point you're standing on the deck of a spaceship, staring towards the screen next to a guy that is trying to tell you how intense this ship battle is that you can not see for like ten minutes.

It's so epic, just so epic, there are lasers shooting out of our ship and oh no, I think we just got hit so we're shooting the missiles now and...

To be more serious, even though I didn't overall care for the story, I thought Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles did some very interesting things with the fog robbing people of their memory so they forget what they're even trying to do, and the world is kind of caught in this terrible existence where no one really has a past. Like at one point a character murders his father because he forgot why he was seeking him out or who he was and let rumors about his dad as a dangerous warrior shape his perception of his quest, so he eventually believed he was trying to stop him.

But the real question is, did all the heroes grow up in the same orphanage, though?

remember when galak-z could have been a really cool space ship/mech combat arcade game except the entire game was the same random level templates over and over again with roguelike elements that make no sense because it has a linear plot progression and every mission is just one of two different objectives and you could turn off the roguelike elements and just be left with an unfinished arcadey space combat game because the developers never actually finished it they just put the ending inside an endless arena mode because nobody could be assed to finish what was already in the game

What I remember about galak-z was a lot of awkward praise for it's artstyle while I'm left scratching my head at tweened newgrounds junk that I deleted from my PS4 approximately ten minutes after figuring out it was a roguelike.
