It was kinda expected because him and Hans-Joachim Watzke have been at odds for most of the season.

Manchester United target Romelu Lukaku will have to appear in court in October after he was arrested by officers who had warned him five times to turn down music at a party in Beverly Hills last Sunday.

The 24-year-old is on holiday in California and was undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Man Utd on Saturday evening, which was when police revealed details of the arrest.

Sgt. Jay Kim says Lukaku was not handcuffed on July 2nd but was handed a misdemeanor citation for "excessive noise".

While it is nice business to offload players that Poch wasn't going to use anyway, I would like for Spurs to sign at least one centre back and a striker. Pochettino doesn't seem to trust Kevin Wimmer and he's being rumoured away which just leaves youth team player Cameron Carter-Vickers as cover for CB.

quote:

Manchester City have agreed a fee of €57.5m (£52m) with Monaco for Benjamin Mendy, with the France international set for a medical this week ahead of his proposed move. Pep Guardiola had identified the 23-year-old left-back as one of his transfer priorities at the end of last season following the departure of Gaël Clichy but City saw three bids turned down for the player who only joined Monaco last season for £11m.
The third - a €50m (£44.5m) offer - was rejected on Thursday, with the French champions demanding a fee in excess of the £50m City paid Tottenham for Kyle Walker last week. Late interest from Chelsea, who have been so far frustrated in their attempts to sign Brazil international Alex Sandro from Juventus, prompted City to increase their offer for Mendy, meaning he will become the most expensive defender in history when the deal is complete.

Former US international Freddy Adu has joined the Polish club Sandecja Nowy Sacz on trial, despite their manager not wanting him there.

The 28-year-old Adu was regarded as one of football’s most promising talents when DC United made him the youngest athlete ever to sign a professional contract in the United States in 2004, but a permanent move to Sandecja, who are newly promoted to the Polish first division, would represent his 14th club in a ninth different country.

Sandecja said in a statement they will make a decision on Adu after his medical, but their manager Radoslaw Mroczkowski was outspoken in his disagreement with the move.

“It’s a joke,” Mroczkowski told Polish website Sportowefakty.pl. “I read in the media about his trial. I asked the sporting director [Arkadiusz Alexander] why he did not tell me anything [about Adu]. After all, he sent me a text message that there ‘will be a player on trial’ and that they all knew. Marketing knew, the staff at the club knew ... Only the coach did not know who the trialist was.”

It isn't even about improving the first team, its more about providing some cover/rotation. Someone that can cover for Dembele when he inevitably gets injured would be nice. Before the market went insane that would probably have been Ross Barkley but now I don't even know.

Maybe whoever is in charge of scouting can find another Dele Alli down in the leagues.
