Ground floor. I started playing with a friend just a few months ago so we're waiting for the relaunch to get back in. I've enjoyed the beta so far, though I've stuck to Kingsmouth. They've made it more visually appealing but I hear that other zones didn't get the same treatment. I can't say I'm a fan of the level restricted quests and the hand holding done by the main story, but I was doing every quest anyways so as long as the plot is intact, I guess it doesn't matter. Fixed reticle combat works great in some games and I don't mind it, but man I wish they reworked the ui to actually play nice with it. Also, ground floor first page. Let the excitement turn to disappointment in the first 20 pages.

Is anyone else disturbed by the amount of people asking for full nudity in the game? Even adding the nipples to enemies was a little bit much but that's fine if they want to make it a bit realistic. Asking for the ability to make all players and NPCs naked with fully modeled cock and balls or vaginas is just a level of autism I'm lucky I don't understand. Weirdly enough, the arguments for it are either "oh it makes the game so much immersive" or "this was responsible for 99% of all Conan Exiles sales so just think of the profits!" Are any of you autists in the group of people whose experience would be enriched if old lady Norma had nice floppy granny tits that you could ogle? If so, I'd really like to hear how and also what the gently caress is wrong with your broken brain. The whole thing feels like a pubic hair's width away from the ads on porn sites for "the most adult xxx mmo ever you'll cum in 5 seconds click here it's pussies online!" E: Just loving stealth the stealth missions. What the gently caress is so hard about them? Aggro ranges are really really small, cameras have really obvious spotlights and patterns, and the jumping/laser grids are few and far between. I've never heard of anyone needing to kill the NPCs to cheese them. Oh, and don't worry, the junkyard "the floor is lava" achieve is still alive and well. Maybe add to the OP that Lairs are now late-endgame raids (presumably regional and world bosses are going to be fuckoff hard). There are now daily login rewards like Guild Wars 2 where the days are simply "logged in x days total divided by the number of total rewards (x mod d)" and not "logged in x consecutive days". Current rewards are:

So do you guys think that weapon swapping in order to make it through certain encounters/zones will be a thing of the past and we'll only unlock additional weapons for flavor/completionism or to swap specs? It seems like there's much less reliance on managing mob states and trying to get the right combo of conditions and triggers.

Am I blind or is provoke (single target taunt) missing from hammer? I don't see any taunt abilities at all, which scares me. In tsw I was doing a hammer / shotgun tank which I enjoyed a lot but keeping aggro early on was hard. I didn't play much in the beta outside of checking out random combat mechanics but tanking felt a lot weaker than the dps builds. I guess that's to be expected but it makes leveling a nightmare. I also don't care for the shotgun gimmick since I found it hard to empty all my shells to trigger a reload.

Oh gently caress I just realized that unless lairs are instanced, no more zerging bosses and super fun 50x summon chain runs. The 10 player cap per instance will make things tough. Has anyone tested how it impacts group formation? If your instance is full, how does using the meet up command work? I wonder if parties can get their own private instance.

The beta is still closed, not sure what distinction you're going for there. We don't know what time on the 23rd it goes live but there will be a wipe and probably some downtime before then.

Pretty much all combos will be at least somewhat viable. There will always be minmaxing and best builds, but with a lower reliance on combos and tweaked and pruned skills, you should be free to go hog wild. I was away all weekend and I guess it was more than 30 days since I logged in on my main account so I didn't get an invite. Mega bummer. I hope they do another wave. I'd really like to hear more clarification on how transfers will work. I have a few unique items across multiple dudes and I would like to have them all available on a single dude in the legends. I was reading on reddit that some people were trying to give away cosmetics for 1 pax on the ah but when I logged on last night there were only maybe 20 items for sale at 1m of more pax. Rip.

It'll probably go away after purchasing something small from the item store. They're still fidgeting with the monetization aspect. Remember how much SWTOR had to sort its poo poo out and it took a good while before they realized that some restrictions are a bad thing and need to be removed.

As long as the core story is there, I'm hopeful that new players will hang out enough to give funcom time to tune the end game. Tsw isn't really known for its compelling raids and hard core pve, so if they advertise it as story driven and single player or small group, hopefully the blowback is minimal. If people sign up looking for endgame content, there's going to be disappointment no matter what.

As someone who played a bit back when it first released and then maybe two months worth of gameplay early with year as a girlfriend duo game, I'm excited for new content and a few tweaks but disenchanted with the tone of the revamp. I get what they're trying to do, but I don't know how much staying power this game will have. I'm actually surprised that so many people kept playing after finishing the story, since pvp was not novel in any way and pve was very shallow. This is a story driven experience that works best as a "drop in, play new content, drop out for a few months" kind of thing. If they could package it like gw2 with its living story, I think there would be a lot of people lining up every time content is released. I'll definitely be there on launch day with the gf and we'll both be subscribed and probably dropping a bit of cash here and there for gadgets and gizmos and maybe even some in game boosts. As long as the game is able to attract a steady stream of players and retain a few of then, it'll probably live a good 4-5 more years. If there's a revamping expansion, who knows. The cash shop will definitely work in their favor and bring in some decent revenue. I know swtor still gets me spending a few hundred a year just on dumbass boxes. See you goons on Friday.

I don't think we know how it works yet. It seems to keep your progress with a cookie, so I'm assuming that once everything is unlocked you just go through all the phases and get a key to enter. It suggests that you get all nine weapons, which is cool.

My guess for Patron is that it's going to be a pretty simple system. Cash only sub with the 1/3/6/12 month options, no perks other than what we've seen. That means you'll get a boost to XP and whatever currency came from missions (anima?), the daily login bonus of cache key+that other thing, and the extra dungeon/lair keys. Rewards are probably a FF14/STO style cosmetic or minor utility item after X days of paid subscription. I swear they also posted something about an icon next to your name that increases over time. The only thing I'm hoping for is the return of a lifetime sub, since spending $200 on a perma-sub to a game is a dumb thing I like to do but TSW wasn't on my radar when it was available.

I'd really like to be able to disable seeing levels next to everyone's name. Also, ability queueing has too wide a window. I keep queueing a left/right click and then I have to wait to use another ability. Still don't see a subscribe option, but they don't need my money now anyways, I guess.

Everyone who is online right now was invited except Brometheus who is ignoring them. Everyone who is in the cabal can invite other goons, so it should go faster now. Alt-tab closes all the open UI windows you have, which is retarded. I guess I have to rebind the alt key.

I don't know how I feel about it, but the cache keys we get are pretty expensive so that's a nice bonus. There isn't a single unified cash shop, is there? I haven't found where to buy the reagent that lets me upgrade items with aurum so I'm guessing it's part of whatever ui element we use for it.
