SF won 7 seats, so the practical majority number is 322, so she can still limp over the line?

Do people realize that sf don't take their seats?
That's the point. Without SF's 7 seats, parliament's true size is 643. Half of 643 is 321.5. If the Tories have 322 seats they can't lose a vote (if unified...)

People on Twitter seem to be of the view it's a political agreement, not a legally binding treaty. So if that is the case, the answer is: there aren't any.
IANAL but the Supreme Court seems to have judged that it is more than a political agreement

Wouldn't this actually be bad for Labour? It removes 29 seats from any likely 'Progressive Pact' and only 23 from a tory-dup coalition?
Given SF increase to nine, the working majority would be 296. The CONS' 298 would be a majority.

Do party defections ever happen? I seem to remember a Tory defecting to UKIP.

Would a Tory --> Labour or Tory --> Lib Dem defection be inconceivable if someone felt they shackled their cart to the wrong horse?
From its inception in 1885 the constituency of Basingstoke has always been Tory with two exceptions. In the 1920s it went to the Liberals for one term, then in 2002 the Tory MP (Andrew Robert Frederick Ebenezer Hunter) first quit the party to be an 'independent conservative' before joining the DUP. It went back to Tory at the next general election when Hunter stood down.
