What actually does happen if there's no majority or coalition to be made after the election, if they can't pass a budget or whatever?

With the British election becoming a horse race I've taken an inventory and realized I'll be happy with any outcome.

A Labour win would be good for Britain and the world, with the caveat that Corbyn has a few troubling and disgusting similarities to our own piss-soaked commander-in-chief, notably moral cowardice when it comes to nuclear deterrence, and a quisling/judas streak when it comes to NATO and our enemies. He might well counteract any harm he did there by making the brexit considerably 'softer' though. A Europe more integrated is a Europe better able to resist and counter the enemies of democracy. Also my British friend, an arch Tory, would have to eat poo poo pretty much forever.

A Tory win would mean all the political entertainment a full English red white and blue no-deal brexit would bring, and deliver to the British the full serving of woe they deserve for their referendum. It might also help discredit and put back into its hole the basket of deplorables that far-leftism carries around on its back.

A hung parliament / inconclusive election would probably be the most entertaining and interesting outcome of all.

"Mutually Assured Destruction" is the greatest force for peace in human history.

A leader of a nuclear nation without the moral courage to commit to deterrence is a threat to world peace, no matter what he thinks his intentions are.

Why is "I would not retaliate, I would hope America does on our behalf" an admirable position?

Nuclear socialism? Share the nukes?

If Britain can maintain its own atomic weapons then doesn't "from each according to his ability" confer some obligation?

I'm merely pointing out that the nuclear deterrent is not compromised by Corbyn being PM (personally I'm in favour of NATO having a nuclear deterrent)

Does that make his position admirable?

There just seems to be a lot of what I can best describe as evoking big vacant glazed-over anime-eyes as folks smugly mouth "Jeremy wouldunt kill billions of peeepol." ... he'd just pawn it off on France and America to do.

It's not a good thing, and it makes you wonder what other space cadet weirdness he's got rattling around his head.

If there is any silver lining to these tragic horrors, maybe it will be that whoever wins the election Britain will greatly bolster its police forces.

abolishing private property is the sort of thing that has the kind of widespread repercussions where you'd need a police force of some kind, if only to fight counter-revolution

Yeah didn't communists invent the police state since its instrumental for the kind of massive huge scale murder and crushing of dissent necessary to rob everyone of everything they own?

I would say Canada or Australia would be better choices but then I'd realize that Canada's got a housing bubble ready to burst and Australia's going to be burning when China's economy implodes in the near future.

If labor were still competent at being a leftist opposition, then I suppose this wouldn't be as much of a problem if you could channel your righteous anger into the polls. But for some reason it's not, right?

Corbo could win and then they won't be the opposition at all, they'll be the government.
