Argentina had a huge economic collapse and the rural areas turned into mad max. all the armed compounds hidden out in the middle of nowhere were breached and looted like giant guns n ammo piñatas while the safeist areas were cities

For a decent intro look up the Wikipedia article on the 1998 Argentine great depression. note the part about worker cooperatives in particular. I'm having trouble finding anything that talks about rural conditions so I'll need to get to my home computer for things that arnt just about economics

Okay now that i can look through a bit more indepth, the main thing i can find on it are a survivalist blog written by a guy who live in the country at the time it happened (http://ferfal.blogspot.com) good stuff, but you have to dig through to find it. He also wrote a book on it. This is the only source i can find with a bit of googling as all others either refer to him or are focused on currency values over people loving starving.

In all seriousness though the only part im taking seriously is the parts where hermits bunker up then get killed because gently caress those guys. As he's the only source i can find i'd treat everything else with a hefty bit of salt, especially since i've already found stuff that contridicts his gold bug tendencies. It is pretty drat confusing. Surely there are some coders that don't want to live in San Jose or the peninsula.

considering boise has a small tech boom going it is happening. problem is that it that not everyone wants to live in a state that has one kinda nice maybe city and the rest of it is filled with white supremacists.

Not sure what you guys think the Fed is supposed to do at this point. Their idiotic attempt to fix the economy by flooding a group of compulsive gamblers with limitless cash is what led us here in the first place.

The only options they have left is doing nothing and letting the debt run its course, starting great depression II, or intervening to backstop the losses with more QE than ever before, starting a currency collapse.

They have to choose, they can temporarily save the market, or they can save the dollar. But they can't do both.

most people need to realize that our model of what hyperinflation looks like is wiemar germany, who caused it because they had reparations of ww1 to pay back. they only way that could happen in the us would be if forign credit holders found a way to extort money out of the treasury. While those bonds are a thing, remember that calling in a debt and collecting on it are very different things, and the us has a much bigger military than the Wiemar Republic.

bud coal plants are a horrible disaster every day they run and your downwind. also plants in the US, Eastern Europe, and Japan are fairly different in terms of operating protocol and safety gear, the extent of which is not widely reported.
