I thought the premise of Nagash was he got all the souls of the fuckos who didn't pick a side in the Sigmaring. Brettonians, as I recall, went out like complete legends crusading until the end, to the extent King Louie's blessed blood poisoned Great Unclean Ones. Eternally pissed that Gilles came back and fought back to back with Abhorash in the abbey, then they did nothing with it.

i hope bretonnians arent sigmarines either way i remember vaguely that somebody ( I think alariel?) was trying to use the bretonnians to make new humans in the new universe because something something grails are magic, was that a thing?

okay to expand a bit on my earlier comments, i really like some of these new ghost folks. particularly dead ghost lady and radical ghost dude sitting in a chair can i use them in an army featuring black knights, skellies, possibly neferata? i like black knights, knights are cool

Okay, so I got the General's Handbook to see how to write a list. The book feels somewhat lacking in info, and I encountered a table in the Death sections saying that Nighthaunts can ally with Soulblights and Deadlords. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be information explaining exactly what Soulblights and Deadlords are. Is this in another book? I regret this purchase, which is a shame.

My understanding is that only a certain portion of your army can be allies - one fifth, right? That means if I go Nagash, I won't be able to take all the cool ghosts I want, but if I go Nighthaunts, I won't be able to take Skeletons or Black Knights at all.

I really love the traditional 'knight' aesthetic. I'm not convinced GW will ever revisit it, as it's not really trademarkable enough. Is there any faction that scratches that itch? Stormcasts don't count because their masks are silly

It's part of the overarching theme in fluff: Give up on the Old World already. Which is weird because I think mostly everyone has moved on or given up but I keep hearing about fluff where they twist the knife

I settled on building a Black Knight army, using a Grail Reliquary and ghostly Brettonian lord. I might use one of those things with the blood pool and paint it up like a pool of lake water. Grail Crusades don't end because the world does

A bunch of my friends and family got me Sigmarines for Christmas, because they knew I like knights and Warhammer. So I guess I'm making a Sigmarine army, now. I will probably pick up either the Stormcast Vangard or the Thunderstrike Brotherhood Start Collecting box. At present, I have: Evocators (I built them with sords because they're cooler) Paladins (I built them with the big ol' hammers because they were the only weapons that didn't look ridiculous) Castigators with Gryph-Hound Gryph Hounds (They're so cute...) Celestar Ballista Knight Questor Sequitors Any advice on which is a better next step?
