my wife saw Danil Tum when i was framing it and thought it was weird and ugly and wanted to know what it was for, so i explained that there's a guy on the trump thread who's playing around with linoleum prints and i bought some, and she wanted to know why and seemed a little concerned, but when i told her i just thought they were funny and showed her how they make a series, she actually laughed and said okay that is kinda funny BUT WEIRD and walked away

it's been largely forgotten, but most of the animals depicted in medieval manuscripts were based on racist slurs for various groups (snails= Lombards, I don't remember what the rabbits were), so this game would extremely offensive to a medieval person who followed our current system of ethics

let's hope that all of our current racist stereotypes will be completely unrecognizable in a few hundred years

So I'm doing something else and I noticed the 1990s movie "Outbreak" is on. You shouldn't watch it as it is hammy and terrible in a way typical of 1990s oblivious Hollywood, but I turned up the sound on a scene when I saw Donald Sunderland was in it. He's a general in the white house briefing the president's chief of staff. The chief of staff rejects out of hand the idea of bombing the town to destroy the virus literally by flinging a copy of the US constitution at them.
